This is what you said, verbatim ..... "his defending and positioning are atrocious". That is utter rubbish. FACT.
To be honest after 60 mins or so Derby looked effed and all over the place - we had control of the game but not the pace or quality to win - our finishing is not sharp enough / but we keep getting done by premier loanees - and Derby should never have the players they have still . there’s a lot of stick for Forss but he chased down Derby for most of the first half and he looked really quick but if he’s putting the ball on who’s finishing? Also we hit a lot of long balls to him that were over hit . KLP showed he’s a natural finisher , the volley but so often he’s putting the ball in to weak immobile players Reality check and a bit more coaching we’ll be ok this season
Obviously he's supposed to stick with what's working, even though people were demanding change, and if he had stuck with them, people would be questioning the decisions for the players brought in, on what was described as a successful transfer window.
Good point. Lawrence on £37k/week, Beilik cost them £7m. People think because they're in a financial mess that their squad must be cheap but it isn't. Their wage bill will be way higher than ours. Still a great job by Rooney in my opinion, but it's worth noting the circumstances our squad are up against.
Yes some very good players in their squad, still a few oldies and very young players to top up the squad though. Very thin squad who have played almost every game. The fact Davies has remained fit all season is staggering.
You'll have to speak to Acun about that.He does the hiring and firing around here and I'm pretty sure we were all aware at the time that if he changes the coach,he changes the tactics, playing staff and introduces his own ideas? It was deemed acceptable to get rid of the 'Sandy Row' dud, he was **** at interviews and never waved at the fans anyway(even at his last match in charge).Of course he's more than capable(according to several resident subbuteo champions) of going to Sunderland and bringing them out of the league below with relative ease!!!
Fleming and KLP were the only two players capable of working together and keeping and moving the ball so it’s no surprise they got caught out a couple of times. We had the kick off and literally ****ing passed it straight to them.
Not sure what that has to do with changing the XI. Considering in Shota's first game he didn't change any?
Shota has apparently watched a lot of our games, he should already understand our strengths and weaknesses and used what limited time the new regime had of the window to fix them. This isn't like the managerial merry-go-around where the incoming manager is pretty much walking in blind. He's already had a head start. The more worrying part for me is we were massively overrun in midfield for the best part of an hour last night, second best to everything, yet, like McCann, Shota struggled to change things. It's early days indeed, but the new fond optimism is disappearing quickly. We're still in the relegation scrap, no doubt.
Are you seriously trying to say that you expected Arveladze to come to this Club and adopt a Grant McCann approach from day 1? Has he been brought in to mimic our previous unpopular coach and tinker with absolutely nothing?
Did I say that? He picked an XI that he liked, and we beat Swansea. He would have picked the same XI for Preston but Baxter was ill. He's then made four changes against Derby for what reason?
Popular or unpopular(which it clearly was and is),he's doing it his way. We've got a choice here? Get behind it or mock it ,those are the options at this moment in time... Some have chosen to ask for him to be given time as he's a complete novice at this level, some have begun the condemnation and witch-hunt already...He'll learn very quickly that he's dealing with one of the most fickle and unforgiving set of fans in the land
We lost against Preston and weren't very good. If he didn't change it and bring in some of his new signings after that it would've been pretty bizarre.
