I hope all these frankly disgusting events is a wake up call to football. It needs to dramatically clean up its act and quickly.

 

Like with a lot of things, it's really society that needs to clean up its act, and football happens to contain and provide a platform for some members of society.

No doubt there will be hundreds more stupid people doing similar things which we don't know about purely because they aren't famous. Sadly a lot of humans are just ****.

 

Amazingly, despite being "unreservedly condemned" by the club, he is starting for West Ham tonight.

I refuse to watch the video. Animal abuse makes me sick.

 

Same here - if you're cruel to animals you're guaranteed to be a nasty piece of work full stop.

 

Not watching the video as I'm a cat owner and it would be too upsetting. There is a strong link from violence towards animals and violence towards people and psychopaths. I already distrust people who don't like animals (they're a good judge of character), but for a grown man to do this - well I can't find the words strong enough. I only hope if its his pet then the RSPCA have already removed it

They haven't and he won't be investigated according to the Police.

 

Hopefully people will take the matter into their own hands. Wherever he lives.

 

I read that the Met aren’t investigating because it occurred in Essex, which is why the Essex Police Force are investigating.

 

Hopefully will give him a life sentence. More like a caution and a £200 fine.

I also don’t trust the RSPA, a sizeable donation would probably mean they back off.

 

Should send him to Bristol University and sort out those students who identify as cats

 

Hopefully the cat will also get its own revenge in time honoured cat manner - biting him, ****ting in his shoes, putting claw holes in designer clothes, using his furniture as a scratching post, vomiting furballs on expensive carpets and leaving half-eaten dead rodents on his kitchen worktops.

 

Hasn't the cat been taken off him? It ****ing should have been,cruel bastard!!

 

Hopefully the cat will be removed from his house and rehomed in one where it will be treated properly.

 

I was always brought up to believe if you can be cruel to any animal you'll have no problem being cruel to a human being!!

Kind of flies in the face of all the positive vibes the football community is trying to make around the Greenwood case.

David Moyes has taken a big steaming **** on all the goodwill by picking a player who beats a small defenceless animal, that doesn’t have the capacity to report the wrongs committed against it. All it knows is fear and danger.

Moyes should resign too.
