The defence needs sorting, we have been poor there all season but now it is an absolute horror show! The ball just pings about gets cleared no about 20 yards up in the air but moves about 2 yards away from goal.

Teams start by given us a little bit of respect and soon realising we aren't doing much coming forward so they attack a bit. Then it dawns on them we are ****ing ****e at the back and they will move through our defence quite easily, then their tails are up and then it's a question of can we hang on!

Won't be long until we don't even get the 10 - 15 minutes while a teams sits back and respects us. We will be sussed out from the first minute.

Hopefully whoever come in can organise and give a bit of confidence back. Otherwise we are done for the season!

No manager, A team with zero confidence and totally out of form, Sold our only centre back with no replacement, Lost last 3 games including a 6-0 defeat all this in the third tier of English football.
I'm 64 and cannot remember a darker time supporting this club. IMO we are at rock bottom right now

I wouldn't hold my breath, this shower of **** are probably spending the day team building at laser quest followed by a meeting about the project and finally some time for self reflection on how far we have come.

Its for certain the fan base of Sunderland AFC is alive and kicking.

Its a pity we cannot say the same for the players of the club.

In all our history this is probably our lowest point.

I feel like I am in mourning for a dear old friend.

See we haven’t. Defensively we were best in the league at one point. Think the Portsmouth game put paid to that and the rest, as they say, is history!!

I thought he picked the right team yeah, don't remember many complaints about it before kickoff. Might have ballsed up the subs but it didn't really sound like it.

The players are the ones directly involved in the game, who can affect what happens on the pitch. The coach can only guide them. But, yeah, it was Mike Dodds that lost us that game <doh>

Feels like it's gone too far now. Even if Keane is appointed we are in so much of a hole I can only thing scraping 6th place is achievable

People probably not too interested, but what the hell, a change from the manager saga. Had a decent night. Derby, to be fair to them, were excellent. I watched the game through coaches not fans eyes and I would say Rooney is doing a brilliant job. 433 basically but with a full back adding an extra attacker when going forward. Tactically he has it spot on for the players he has. He uses the pace in the team so well. Hull couldnt cope with them. Derby moved it well but went long as well, really mixed it up. Even when Hull got one back Rooney just made a sub, tweaked to a 5 at the back and played the game out really. I watched him in the touchline as well and he was calmness personified. Ref and linesman were hopeless, but he never ranted just shook his head and got on with it. Always talking to his coaching team. Everything about how he operated spoke volumes about him. I know it is one night but he has a chance to be a very good coach / manager in my opinion. He has Derby much better organised, with far fewer players, than Lampard did. If he keeps them up, and I reckon they have a chance now, he deserves manager of the year.

He does seem to be doing well just looking at results so very interesting reading this. He isn't as likeable as Lampard so doesn't seem to get the same level of praise!

Atmosphere was class in the ground. Rhe fans absolutely 100% behind them. Even when the players balls up they are right behind them. Everyone is in it together.
