Could be pretty straightforward. I’m up for Keane coming back, but he’s hardly a stand-out candidate & doubt so many fans would be so keen if he hadn’t managed here before. We’ve had SO many managers over the past decade, KLD & KS may want to be as sure as possible he’s the best man out there to lift us. Makes perfect sense they want to speak to other candidates beforehand. Could be that someone has shown interest last minute they want to check on…Ranieri for example (I have no inside info BTW!)

The contract has/was been with Michael Kennedy. He's one of the few people Keane trusts 100% so that contract was never going to be signed off immediately. I said that it would take longer than expected.
