he was a young lad that people took as an attacking player and expected far too much out of probably. I recall saying at one point we should at least stick him in at right midfield just to get a game but in the end he came in while we still had alonso and mascherano and gerrard so he was never going to get a consistent game. Certainly a hiding to nothing to replace alonso but once he was established he really stepped up but the injury v chelsea (as usual absolutely scum chelsea dirt) he never got back to the level he has established.

Well he does play a British officer in Dunkirk and then does an American Salute at the end. All that effort to make a realistic film and you **** that up.
