  1. Well,I am surprised with some of the player movement and the apparent contradiction we are seeing in the mechanics of LJ's replacement, but, this club is a work in progress and it's unrealistic to expect all aspects of the club to be functioning like a well oiled machine after at least a decade of chronic mismanagement. It's very likely to be two steps forward and one back for some time to come.
Notwithstanding my surprise as mentioned,I do think KS has done a good job so far in that our squad has certainly benefitted from much improved recruitment, introducing younger, more talented players, although still learning, and resisting the temptation to continue the mistakes of the past.

Yeah, I dread to think anyone from the club is reading the forums. They will be waist deep in a hole of our digging.

  3. Well, they may have a plan,I don't know, but surely promotion out of this godforsaken division at the earliest opportunity is a priority. Failure to achieve it merely sets us back another year and stalls any progress. We need to be going balls out to achieve it.

Been busy all morning and not checked tweets / news. Somewhat disappointing / surprising that there has been absolutely no update whatsoever from any sort of outlet?

Guess it could be calm before storm. Or alternatively there’s some sort of standoff with no movement.

I still think people need to lay off the club a bit. Everything I’m seeing suggests its Keane’s demands that are causing the delays here. Now some will say we should just meet his demands, but without knowing what they are its hard to say for sure.

You could definitely argue these conversations should have happened before we sacked Lee Johnson, but I still think something happened post-Bolton that caused the sacking to happen earlier than anyone expected. Some sort of falling out.

If we don't go up this season I don't think we will next. We will lose a few players and have a rebuild on our hands, again!

If we don't go up we will be down here another 2 season minimum imo. The club will see all goodwill gone by then.

They need someone in as having those two clowns in charge for 2 matches is criminal and has cost 3 points do far, wouldn't be surprised to see it be 6.

At this rate we won't get the playoff positions, never mind win them!

What evidence have you seen regarding Keane's demands?

“Evidence” - none. But several places are saying the deal isn’t quite done. Craig Hope, Luke Edwards. Both saying Keane is first choice but not quite secured.

If he is our first choice, that will be because there is a discrepancy with what he wants versus what we are currently offering. Alternatively its because we’ve not offered him the role and haven;t made out minds up yet. Everyone seems to be assuming its the latter, and blaming the club.

I’m just saying - everyone is assuming this is the club messing Keane about or taking ages to choose somebody. It’s equally likely, if not more likely, that they’ve chosen but can’t get it over the line.

I was going to post but I'll leave it til later.

FFS, is there anything people can't whinge about.

Donald's still pulling the strings, the share issue isn't clear, we sacked Johnson too late/early, Defoe is too old, Keane does nothing but shout, one journo suggested this one journo hinted at that etc, etc, etc, it's ****ing endless.

We're a recently bought L1 club trying to sort itself out and bringing in players/staff we hope will have the right effect.

We're not management consultants, accountants or recruitment experts, we're football supporters. I sometimes think people sit at their desks, running an insignificant little department, thinking it means they'd be able to run the club better than KLD.

It's match day, balls to it ... HA’WAY THE LADS!!!

No idea how you can possibly predict that

  14. Whilst I think not going up this season will be a huge kick in the nads, and certainly will have an effect on our attendances, I can't see why you're so pessimistic about our prospects from there. Even if we do lose some players,we seen enough from the recruitment team so far to give us a bit of confidence we would be able to replace them. Why do you think we'll be here for another two seasons at least?

I am happy to be corrected, but I cannot remember one single instance of either Hope or Edwards being ahead of the curve on anything regarding us since we were taken over. Not one.

They look here and elsewhere, put a story out citing " sources" and try and show they are in the know.

There is no evidence at all up to now to show that they are. Hope in particular, is a joke, and calling him a journalist is a slur on the many good ones in the past.

They may be right. There is a first time for everything, but if you guess often enough, cover all angles, you can say later that you were on it.

They agreed everything last Friday mate. So absolutely spot on. Delay is a strange one. Think it's been speakman biding time to appear in charge of a process. I am still confident it will be announced and soon. It it gets to tomorrow night, and nothing, we are in bother.
