Pre-match Blackburn

  1. I'll be getting there 2-3 hours early most likely, where will all you's be going before the game?

I remember on the way to the Blackburn away game last season, there was a pub with a yard with loads of toon fans throwing their pints and bottles around. Proper mental like haha.

I might be going there. Just wondering if anyone knows what there is around Blackburn to do to kill a couple of hours?

That'll be the Fernhurst pub (just next to the ground), it tends to be the away supporters pub at Blackburn. And it is where I shall be before the match. Arriving at about 5 to get a few cold beverages in before the match.

Why thank you. May see you in the Fernhurst beforehand, usually a decent atmosphere in there.

Me, Clarence Acuna and a couple of other lads will be getting to Blackburn around 5.30. The Fenhurst will be our pre-match choice as well

  9. Just a bit of fun like, they weren't hurting anyone, just throwing their pints around like at a gig.

I agree with this. There are ways of having a laugh and enjoying the pre-match atmosphere without being an idiot.

Oh fair enough, I remember there being a bit of trouble away last season with a few games. Put me off away games this season so far to be honest, although I did go to QPR.

My wife refuses to come to away games now after Wigan away a few seasons back. It was the minority who ruined it but she was genuinely scared.

Im not suprised, seems every club has its section of idiots that venture to away games.

It's been said before, but worth repeating. Blackburn attracts the knobheads. Especially since it's half term, you WILL get a ****eload of fans in their early teens thinking they're ****ing it and getting mortal of a sip of beer. Fernhurst was **** last year, full of ****s wasting beer and soaking passers by and making general arseholes of themselves.

And yes, I realise I seem hypocritical giving that I'm only 17 myself, but I'm not one of those pre-pubescent ****ers, honestly ;)

It does seem to be one of the games that attracts the idiots. It ties in with the teams who give large away allocations, as I mentioned earlier Wigan is another. Just an excuse for people to get ruined and act like morons.

    Matter of opinion.

Back to the Fernhurst though, even when you do get in it's pretty hard to get to the counter and even when you do you have people trying to climb over your back to get served. Could do with more staff on match days, although not all teams take as many 'thirsty' supporters as us.

All this chat is putting me off the Fenhurst!

Yeah at Darlington earlier this season there seemed to be lots of pissed 12 year olds.
I much prefer the london away games despite the fact there harder to get too.
