Personally think speakman has done a poor job so far. No u23 or u18 coaches good enough to fill short term 1st team role, the spine of the team has still not been improved for this league and i still think the balance of the team between younger and older players is not right. For a team wanting promotion Doyle was not the right choice for CB, he is just starting out in mans football so no matter how well he started off will have many ups and downs, where we need someone that was further in their progression say 20/ 21 year old on his second or third loan spell.
Which is an excellent reason for him not to be appointed until he finished his ITV commitments. Imagine him being asked what he thought of his team being well beaten by bottom of the table Doncaster. Timeline on this though frustrating is completely sensible.
I'm the same. As soon as I hear James on the radio with Sit Down, it takes me back to that match and the highs and lows
Took my three boys to that game scarfs hanging out the windows got lost in Manchester, a young girl in a car told me to follow her, told the kids to lock the doors thinking the worst. Went up a street and there it was don’t think I would have found it. And can remember sir Nial looking up at us singing when getting beat he must have been thinking what would these be like if they were wining
We will just have to wait and see. It could just be Keane not wanting to let ITV down and it'll happen fairly shortly. On other hand Speakmans interview yesterday, if taken at face value suggests that he will present his findings to the board this week and then a decision will be made there. They could of course accelerate that today, alot can happen in 24 hours. But I'm certainly more inclined to listen to speakmans update than go off Ian Wrights laugh on TV
God, even I was there. I moved down to Manchester in 1990. I went with a Man City mate in the Kippax really close to the Sunderland fans. Our goals that game were unbelievable. I remember the city fans were not too bothered as they wanted Luton to go down. There was a lot of scarf swapping after the game over the fences. I remember parking in Moss Side and my mate giving someone a quid to watch his car.
I remember a lot of coins getting thrown about, but as soon as the final whistle went, it went all friendly, hand shakes and scarf swapping as you said. We parked at the Moss side too, on someone’s drive, charged us £3, I drove down in my newly bought escort XR3i, I wasn’t expecting it to be there when we returned. But it was thank god haha. What day that was
Sounds like mind games to me from all of them. It's important tho that the manager is in place for Tuesday night for more than one reason. We are quickly running out of games but there is still enough time to quickly gather momentum.
Indeed but he's also not going to say "yup, it's all agreed with Roy, just waiting for him to finish up with ITV and he's ours"
Nixon knows **** all about us. I'd listen to @Prehab26 over him every second of the week. Won't stop another mini meltdown again I'm sure. Shame Keane isn't on the TV more this weekend to calm you all down more regularly.
Aye. I'm hoping the info Prehab & Wheatsheaf have is still accurate as there are too many sources now saying the process is nowhere near done
