Minxy...if you think we'll come to your place with much of this team, you've got to be crazy. But the ones who come will be sooooo much better for this experience. You just keep those points warm for us, please.
What would I know.......I only run our prediction league. But make sure those points are kept warm on the journey, then!!!!
If VAR had done it’s job we may have been up against a 10 man Liverpool for 40 minutes at 0-0? Anyhow we didn’t get battered as feared once the teams were announced and scored the best goal of the game. A real positive was 90 minutes for Denham which should give Morison no qualms about picking him in the championship.
Denham and Bagan both had really good games. Colwill and Davies as well. Harris also 1st half. Big game Wednesday. Really is a must not lose but 3 points will set us far closer to safety.
I blame Flint. Ng was asking him to clear it as he was running towards goal. Flint just stood there and forced Ng to turn away to try and get rid of it. Flints error all day long. I thought Ng had a solid game other than this
Positives today in Denham & Bagan. Both looked assured. Look at the youth on the pitch at the back end of the 2nd half and things will begin to look better for us soon. We just need to keep these youngsters playing. Find a place for Rubin in the team - he's got a touch of class about him and seems to be more mature than the others.
There we are then. We far from disgraced ourselves on national TV and scored the best goal of the game. Some stand out performances too. Definitely should have been playing against ten when it was all square. Extra bonus is that Minxy and Robbie are now true Bluebirds
I think the difficulty for Morison is he doesn’t know where best to play Colwill if he picks a midfield three which includes Doyle. Personally I think he will be best in a team that plays with a back 4 so there’s an extra place for a midfielder to play ahead of the three and behind the strikers.
We were never going to get anything from the officials unless it was massively blatant. Jurgen moans and bitches so much every time a decision goes against them that they are all running scared of him now. You could almost guarantee that if Vaulks challenges Jota or one of their "stars" in the way their keeper challenges Harris then he's getting a straight red. Likewise our penalty shout. Harris does exactly what the likes of Vardy does to win numerous penalties... Look at the one Jota got v Palace (?) the other week where he runs AWAY from the ball to make contact with the keeper... Yet VAR give it. Little old Cardiff with an unknown striker against the big clubs.,. No chance. Not saying that Liverpool weren't the better team, as they were by far. But whereas Boro got their bit of fortune Friday night v Man It's, we sadly were given no such assistance at Anfield, despite very strong claims. Even bigger game v a real team on Wednesday now...
Circumstances conspired that I couldn't watch the game live from the start, so recorded it on ITV and watched it since. Quite apart from an extremely decent showing by City, I've just sat through 2 hours of the "Liverpool show" from Keane, Wright and that ITV bloke. Basically all they spoke about was Liverpool - and then more bloody Liverpool. I will say that Sky are pretty fair dividing the time up between the two sides when they broadcast, but that ITV effort was so biased a programme it was embarrassing. CCFC were there to take part and play their part in the game - the club deserved more than a passing mention when they ran out of things to repeat about the scousers. Not sour grapes - Liverpool were the better team and deserved the win, but ITV, the ref and VAR must be scousers at heart because we got nothing from that on the pitch and hardly a mention off it.
On their own liverpool matchday thread the silence was deafening at the point of the keeper's rash challenge but one of their members from Surrey (probably) was quite vocal about how it was never ever ever ever a red card (unless it was against them of course)
