This was a hard fought and hard won victory against the 3rd tier opposition that are the Plymouth pasty men (they’re shirt sponsored by Ginster’s Pasties). 0-1 down after their surreal goal and we were genuinely lucky to beat them. Fabulous penalty save by Kepa to keep it at 2-1, or else they may have beaten us on penalties after extra time! Well worth the £30 for my seat, make that £62 after paying for the Mrs and the £2 admin fee where I got to print my own tickets. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Below par performance. Need to up the ante for Dubai. Would be nice to stack that lovely World Club Cup into the Trophy Cabinet !

…….indeed, and I think that the players were more interested in the upcoming World Club Cup than the Plymouth game. Plus, Tuchel - he is isolating - was not on the touchline to spur them on.

One of those where only the result matters. If we play Lukaku against stronger opponents we'll be out very soon I'm afraid.

Strange old performance that, definitely a sense of flatness from most. I am concerned about Mounts' form, he just looks a different player from last season.Wonder if he's carrying some injury or illness? Ziyech again played well, but Lukaku looks a shot duck. He looks to be out of confidence and out of friends, think he might be out of a Club at seasons end. Blimey we'll take a huge hit on him, who'd pay anything like the 90+ mill we did ??
