Grant moved from DM to RB 2 minutes extra to be played 0 - 0 HT Bodin, and Taylor for Oxford and Ayunga (2) for Morecombe and we still cant score Coutts yellow carded 57th minutes good to see we have another top class ref championship one at that Kiernan yellow for simulation Anderson on for Nicholson 70th minute Labadie and Keirnan subbed by Walsall both players had been booked Saunders replaces Thomas 82nd minute Grant injured replaced by Whelan 84th minute
Aaron Collins for Rovers 1 - 0 90th minute 4 more minutes to survive Belshaw injured no subs left crumpled to the deck in the 95th minute and there was only 4 minutes extra Great win for Rovers we played just under an hour with ten men. Well done lads
Get in you beauty! Three points after playing with 10 men for an hour - and another goal from Collins. UTG!
our ex players doing well today Tom Nichols and Tony Craig score for Crawley Craigs goal in the 95th minute Swindon 1 - 1 Colchester finished with 9 men PNE 2 - 2 City. PNE equaliser 95th minute must be the day for late goals today Goal feast at Gillingham today Oxford won 7 - 2 Brannagan scored FOUR penalties
If we win our game in hand we'll be just three points off the playoffs which is quite incredible bearing in mind where we were late last year. And to be honest, we haven't really hit full stride yet in terms of performances. UTG!
Yep. I agree with that. Makes you wonder where we would be now if we had a better transfer window in the summer. Barton is trying to bring in players today. These signings could be the difference to push us forward.
February is going to make or break our season I feel. We have seven L2 games - every sat and tues - so we'll need to keep a lid on the disciplinary issues as we won't be playing such generous teams as Walsall every week. And another central defender is a must - one with experience. Our current back three are doing a great job but there's little experience there and we need cover in that position. It's nice to be able to look up rather than down for the first time this season.
Todays line up v Sutton formation 4-2-3-1 Jaakkola, Anderton, Grant, Connolly, Taylor, Coutts, Thomas, Whelan, Evans, Nicholson, Collins Subs Ward, Harries, Martinez, Anderson, Anderson, Spence, Saunders No Loft or Finley again Sutton have had four corners and one kicked off the line with the keeper beaten think it is going to be a long afternoon and any points we come away with will have been hard earned
Bennett for Sutton 19th minute 1 - 0 according to Sam Frost Jaakkola came for the ball didn't get it and it was knocked into an empty net Collins has just hit the woodwork when his shot took a slight deflection in the 24th minute City 2 - 0 down not a good day for or local teams Evans hits the bar 46th minute HT 1 - 0 Tom Nichols scores twice for Crawley today Todays attendance 3394 including 500 Gasheads Rovers Elliot Anderson replaces Whelan 56th minute while their keeper is being treated
Saunders replaces Thomas 71st minute Anderson on for Grant 82nd minute One of our old boys on hopefully not to haunt us Donovan Wilson on 82nd minute Harry Anderson fouled by their keeper who had already been booked Evans equalises 85th minute from the spot 6 minutes stoppage time to be played Sutton hit the post in the 92nd minute Jaakkola saved from Wilson in the 95th minute to keep the scores level FT 1 - 1 a very good point I think
Just looked at the league table Rovers 17th 7 points off the play off places, Sutton 3rd and Swindon have dropped out of the playoffs and are 8th after losing to Exeter today
I was wondering at the start of the match how many we would lose by, then all of a sudden we started playing, and creating chances which makes me wonder why our new striker wasn't in the squad again, cant we sign a striker that is FIT to play in matches for ninety minutes
Apparently, Sutton were the better side and it wasn't until the new signing from Newcastle came on is when we looked much better. This result should give us confidence for the home game coming up with Sutton. We do have some good promising attack minded players. If we can keep more clean sheets then things certainly will look promising indeed. A point away from home against the 4th placed team is a very good result.
