I am happy with Ralph as our manager.

But he didn’t half make an absolute mess out of that.

Don’t disrespect the fans by playing the F team
in the cups please, one or two changes is fine, 10 is unacceptable, when it’s clear they aren’t familiar with each other. We were playing Coventry, not Solihull Moors.

I was surprised as he doesn’t usually do this.

Watching Man Utd last night, I can see Ralf Rangnick going through the same high press process that Ralph Hasenhuttl has gone through at Saints.
The similarity in style, even down to the unfathomable team selection, bad luck and missed chances, are uncanny.
I think both managers would prefer to develop a squad of under 24-year-old players, to suit their brand of football. With Ralph having Crocker as recruiter and Rasmus Ankersen backing him, he has the advantage over Rangnick. That’s why it is even more important that Ralph is here for the long term.
Saints are on the up with their youngsters, and now is the time to let the real Ralph revolution begin.
As a Saints fan, watching Spurs sack Pochettino and appoint Mourinho to undo all the good work MoPo did has been one of the best feel good stories of the past decade. Trust in Ralph.

Oh I certainly do. But I think he got today wrong, with a mix of slight arrogance, and overestimating the capabilities of our second string. We do have a better squad now, but we can’t play them all at once.

Especially when most of them have apparently never even met each other…

You can **** off from the Chapel, we may be quiet, but it’s the quiet ones you have to watch !!! :D

I like em down the far end, they may be noisy when things are going well for them, but the silence when they aren’t is palpable

Just got back. Good god are we fortunate to be in the hat for the 5th round. If it wasn't for a wondergoal by Armstrong we'd be out. I wasn't one calling for full strength but that was poor from Ralph today. First for making so many changes and second for leaving Walcott on for an hour! It's sad to see Theo so bad as I so wanted him to succeed on his return. But he was atrocious. And has been for a while. What worried me was Adam Armstrong's performance. I expected him to be a threat for the Coventry defence but he was simply not in the game. If Broja's out for any length of time we're going to need a lot more from him. Coventry fans in the Saints end were ****ing annoying as well. But we're in the draw and that's what matters. Fingers crossed for Broja though.

From the poor stream it looked like an impact/dead leg type injury.

Could be. I was just leaving when he was being helped off by 2 physios. He couldn't put much weight on the affected leg so hopefully it is just a dead leg.

I see it more like the players got away with that, rather than Ralph. For me, Ralph did little wrong. Yes it was a weakened team, obviously, but I still thought it should have been good enough to win. By and large though they were awful (Theo, AArmstrong, and Small at the head of the queue)..

Yes, granted, my preference would generally be to strong at the start, and ideally win the game early so that players can come off. Rather than needing to call upon them to rescue you. But like I say, I still think there was enough quality there. But they let Ralph down, and some of them I suspect will play very little football for quite some time as a result.

I absolutely agree, that Ralph got the team selection wrong today, but on the plus side he did manage to get the substitutions right.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

That strike from Stuey was just incredible. It just came from nowhere. He was probably our best player along with Caballero who made some vital saves.

It was from when Clarke-Salter tried to break his leg on the halfway line.

Yeah. I disagree with the lineup (though I'd have gone with more of a mix of youth and first-team players), but if Theo, AA and Long aren't capable of playing at a Championship level, that's really an indictment of them.
