You were expected to control the game against them! I wouldn’t get too excited until you can say that after playing a top 10 prem team tbh.
I've already said I'd be angry if that goal was allowed to stand against us, but I don't think it was as pivotal as it may seem. You had so many chances to score before and after it, as well as the shoot-out, you've only yourselves to blame. I can't say I'd be happy with that performance tbh. Pretty average I thought. Boro looked pedestrian, and an obvious Championship side. They were ponderous and their passing was poor - I would expect you to dominate them.
If you’re not disappointed with the loss with the team you had out and the fact you were playing Middlesbrough tells me you don’t particularly have high expectations. You’re Manchester United, not Burnley or Watford.
I was expecting this to be said. We've played a lot of ****e over the past 6 months (among the good obv) and we've been poor against them. We should've controlled games and performed much better against the likes of Wolves, Newcastle ffs, Norwich, Watford. Of course we should be expected to dominate Boro, but the fact is a few months ago our football was one-dimensional, pedestrian and ridiculously cautious. For me it's the mentality of the players and the way they gelled. The 4-3-3 is defo the way to go. That's 3 games now with Bruno in a free role and it seems to be a good move by Ralfy. Still don't understand why we play Sancho on the left and Rashford on the right but you can't have everything I guess. If we can build on performances like the last 2/3 matches then we're heading in the right direction.

You'll find rangatit has put your most valuable player into a classic wide forward.postion to exploit his strongest foot being his right. And he's put the players who's left on the other side to make up the numbers. Rahsford hasn't don't enough to justify holding the left forward slot it seems. Only time will tell if sancho justify this selection. Welcome to 21st century football tactics.
So what your saying is, if United were in the championship you’d be up towards the top end of the table because you dominated against s team in 7th
Well agent ole didn't seem to beleive in forwards tracking anyone so who knows. The issue for me is that agent ole was so freaking bad and there so freaking long that you cannot tell how competent anyone coming in is as they have to fix all the basics first. The difference for me between lampard at cheslea and ole and utd is not who replaced them but the ability of the players. Tuchel walked in and found apzi in the wrong position, found rudiger being wasted and silva's abilities being wasted trying to chase about at his age. He found kante playing no 8 etc etc. It was so easy to slot brilliant round pegs I to round holes in his preferred system and go. Rangadick has walked into utd and found calamities everywhere and has seemingly focused.on dropping utd full backs while indulging ronaldo still 433 might well be better but the issue is the players are just not that good in the key areas at the back and in midfield. Anyone with fernandes, rashford, ronaldo and sancho ought to be quite pleased but when you find Fred, matic, mctominay, maguire and lingaard behind that with wan biscuit and shows hank as full backs its a major major issue. I can see whoever comes after rangarick having a lot of work
Not that I am arsed but how that is not offside I will never know Both players were off - one didn’t touch it The ball was not passed sideways it went forwards It think ? Or have I missed something Which wouldn’t surprise me
So West Ham equalise in 91st minute tbrn win it in the 121st minute. got to feel for Kidderminster there. Should be seeing the game out though. Chelsea sneak through 2-1 in ET with kepa saving a pen as well. Bit opportunities for both lower league teams to win there
Anyone know if that carvalho kid is playing for Fulham today? I hate Citys football so ain't watching Edit - he is
