I thought he was just suggesting they didn't actually take over before the Blackburn game as reported. Either way, a Company House extract regarding change of ownership of the SMC doesn't really indicate that at all.
They were all “filed” on the 2nd Feb (Hull City Tigers Ltd, Superstadium Management Committee, Superstadium Holdings Limited) but that is just when Companies House updated the records, after receiving the forms. Doesn’t mean it’s when the ownership changed. It’s simply paperwork.
It’s the date registered as a change on Companies House. The only date that matters is the date on the contract and we will never see that.
It is true the club didn't officially change hands until the Monday after the Bournemouth game. Which is why the club kept quiet about McCanns departure that weekend. The news broke from Turkey not the MKM. The EFL gave City the nod to announce the take over before the Blackburn game because of the occasion.
