Probably not wanted another ex Liverpool manager though but yes not sure Lampard is the answer. They just keep spending badly!
Just watched a little of the Syria v South Korea World Cup qualifier - the entire South Korean defence, keeper plus back four, are called Kim. Must make it easier for commentators...
Some football clubs make contentious signings, but probably none more contentious in their fans' eyes than Raith Rovers. Since signing David Goodwillie - who was branded a rapist in civil court four years ago - on Monday, board members have resigned, sponsors - including shirt sponsor author Val McDermid - have withdrawn their support, around 30 volunteer workers have quit - and now the Raith women's team have severed links with the club, removed the club crest from shirts & changed team colours, and are looking for a new home. Amazingly, the club's Bangkok-based chairman/owner rubber stamped the signing in spite of having been warned of the backlash back in December when the transfer was first mooted. The club were considered to have an outside chance of promotion to the SPL this season - but I suspect that fan power may have put paid to that now.
Mendy n Greenwood are probably guilty too. Also the Everton player being accused of kiddy porn. Cases this year and verdicts too. Why do those in the public spotlight not act like rolemodels sometimes. Such a shame.
I have to say, Watford's status as a family club is important to me, and I had some similar concerns when Deeney came back from prison. I think the differences are that his crime didn't have a sexual nature to it, he was properly punished by going to prison, he pled guilty, and showed some remorse. That made me feel he deserved a second chance. None of that seems true of Goodwillie.
David Goodwillie will not play for Raith Rovers and will be leaving the club following his controversial signing. Looks as though the pressure has had an effect.
Wow this seems so crazy and dangerous to play in! https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/usa-honduras-world-cup-qualifier-26128367.amp
I wouldn't mind betting the USA deliberately picked that particular location - Minnesota is noted for those kind of temperatures at this time of year. There must surely have been a more suitable venue somewhere further south.
that is ridiculous and dangerous... -17° what though? 1°F = -17°C and -17°F = -27°C Americans usually call the weather temperature in Farenheit, not Celcius. Either way the referee should not have played the game.
Man U out of the cup. VAR for once goes against them and they missed a shed load of chances . Well played Boro - excellent penalties.
Kidderminster's goal by their right back Alex Penny - his fourth in only four games for them. Maybe we should sign him - in for a penny and all that...
