Some morons quietly go about their business being morons instead of making a point of it or stink like a tramps arse.
Very professional and I think heartfelt. I don't get all the personal vilification of managers , as long as they try their best .They all eventually fail and have flaws in character but none deliberately try to make a club worse.
Good luck to him, he had some bad luck here with injuries and results. We're in better shape than before he came. Shame it didn't work out.
Pleased everyone liked that but it reads as smug to me. He's taking a whole lot of credit when no one else is placing it at his door. It's clever face-saving PR. And I didn't even think we should sack him. So I definitely don't lack sympathy.
I didnt want him, didnt like him, but that is a class statement from Johnson. I hope he finds success at whatever level he finds himself at
I think he does deserve plenty of credit. The club is in a very different place to when he took over and, while this is mainly down to KLD, Speakman etc., he was undoubtedly a key part of the success on the pitch.
agree with everyone on this....good statement by LJ. I will be interested to see where his career goes, and what level he finds himself with his next job
On Johnson, classy staement, goes with my heartfelt best wishes and a hope he's soon back in the game. On Royston, my gut feeling is not to expect an announcement today, more likely Sunday or Monday. He's a canny media manipulator is RMK, think walking the dog, and I think he's unlikely to want to disrupt Defoe's big day tomorrow. He'll also flat-bat any questions on tv tonight, although likely to give a knowing smirk. Not wishing to sound as if the ITKs here are in any way wrong, just a personal opinion. Expect him announced on SSN @ 11:00 then............
I believe Dave Jones will introduce Roy last tonight as "and, last but not least, Roy Keane the new Sunderland Manager!"
It's the thanking his friends in the game for aiding them to sign players that gets my back up. Just feels like him begging himself and his network up. He might be ****ing right for all I know, but it just reads as really credit grabbing for what's essentially someone else's remit.
