When they said limited edition, I thought it meant only available in sizes up to large thereby ruling out 75% of the fan base. Me included.
That's it, they will sell the 500 just because of the charitable aspect plus enough people will want something that not too many others will have.
2nd in the Sustainability Leage and a new limited edition shirt?! Is it hand sewn from false promises?
My Coventry supporting relations always sent me on the Coventry v Saints programmes from Highfield Rd when I was a little kid. Was some of the very few Saints related items I could get my hands on. Always had a soft spot for Coventry as they were in a similar predicament as us in the 90s and due to the kindness of my relations. Great to see them going again. Still think we should have too much for them. Going for a 2-0
Been ages since I last saw us play Cov. As long as we can deal with Peter Ndlovu and Darren Huckerby, we should get the win.
We had our own version of it in the '76 FA Cup Q/F against Bradford with Ossie and Jim McCalliog. Then LeGod was such a genius that he did it on his own against Wimbledon.
Coventry were one of the first teams I saw beat Saints. I think it was aroiund the time Kevin Keegan played for us and therefore must have gone through the 1970s never seeing us lose. It was a big shock and we also lost the Leeds Utd match that was either before or after the Coventry game. I can recall Ron Atkinson's WBA destroying Saints at home too but my abiding recollection of that era is their forward Ian Wallace.who had a ginger afro. He has a prolific season , got featured on the back page of "Shoot!" magazine and then sold to Forest for over £1 million. This was the same team that also featurd Terry Yorath and the dreadful chocolate brown away strip with the tram lines. (The 1970s equivalent of the notorious Arsenal "Hawaian pizza" away kit.)
remember what they got Chippo and Hadji? And good old Ogrizovic in goal. Saying those names aloud genuinely makes me feel like it was in a parallel universe!
