Not sure if anyone else had problems getting a live stream for the Swansea game but I emailed iFollow to ask if there was an issue. In amongst their reasons (something about our foreign partners and Sky) I didn't get a straight answer but was told that, of the next seven games, only the Barnsley one will be transmitting pictures, the rest will be audio commentary only.

I've got a VPN and not had an issue before but it looks like those of us who are not in Hull might need to rely on dodgy streams for the foreseeable.

You can’t get ifollow for a Saturday 3pm ko unless you are outside the UK. Think that’s right.

That's why you need a VPN, which makes it look like you're outside the UK.

Oh right, so ifollow is not available for anyone then, even people overseas? That seems a bit crap. Wonder if our new owner has an alternative media platform in mind?

The combination of thread title and posters name is a little unfortunate

Would he be able to use an alternative stream? There are arrangements in place which mean you can't transmit 3pm games so even if he did it would only be available outside the UK. It would be back to dodgy streams anyway. Unless they allowed you to pay from a UK bank account.

A VPN tells them that you're overseas so all 3pm games are always available to view, which has never been a problem before. John Ex-Aberdeen says he didn't have a problem on Saturday so maybe it was just me.

I paid for mine using my UK bank account, though I did it for the season rather than game by game.

I meant if Acun set up an alternative one. He won't want to be running foul of the people running things as a club owner.

I used Dennis's details after the club sent them to me by mistake. It's cost him a bit extra, but they sorted it for me. <ok>

VPN works fine for 3pm Saturday games. I did wonder if Acun’s new regime would have tighter restrictions for iFollow than the Allams, given he’s a media mogul I’d expect his team to be more tech-savvy regarding broadcasting regulations.

Was surprised you could use a VPN to show you were supposedly abroad but pay with a UK account. Don't suppose it bothers ifollow, or City as they are making money. There are sites you can't pay on if they detect you are using a VPN, had to log out of my VPN even though it shows .I am in the UK before my motor insurance site would accept my payment. If Acun did set up his own I am sure he would be as you say more tech savvy and tighten things up if he wanted to.

I wasn’t expecting a VPN to work with iFollow tbh. Occasionally when I watch iFollow with a VPN, it might end abruptly and say I don’t have permission to watch, but I just reset my VPN and refresh the webpage and it works again.

Always worked fine. I think it was Omega Man who said he logged on as though he was in Portugal and I just followed on from there. Though it works better with Nord VPN than with SurfShark for some reason.
Comet and Iceland are sites that pick up you are on a VPN and won't let you pay for an order until you log out even if it is a UK VPN address.

I have never logged on from Portugal or via a VPN as if I was in Portugal.
I just happen to be in France rather a lot…
I’m so Southern I’m virtually French!

I had no problem in California. Video and commentary were fine from the kick off. Hope we are able to get the next seven games. Looking forward to watching the young Iranian "Mo Saleh" in action !!!!!

Apologies. Thought it was you who suggested that way of accessing ifollow some time ago.

No I apologise, it’s France not Portugal that’s all.
My VPN region is always France. Except on my phone.
    Sorry.
