That could be a problem with Keane, and he admits it himself. Some can take it and some can't. There's an argument for both sides. I know he's been out of management for ten years but he has been assistant three times and he's aged/matured https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/roy-keanes-management-style-ipswich-22013942 What will be will be. I just like the thought of an injection of excitement
Good post. I won't repeat myself (too much) but I was excited about some of the other names linked and maybe that's influencing my opinion. As you, and others point out, the new set up means that whoever comes in will be here as part of that and that is the main thing for me. Head coaches will come and go.
This....one nod from Keane is worth more than a thousand platitudes form the likes of Grayson, Parkinson etc
I feel sorry for anyone else who gets it that isn't Keane at this stage. The disappointment would be all out of proportion.
I don't doubt he's first choice but you never quite know with Roy. Wouldn't stun me if he changed his mind at the last minute.
Good post mate, great points. I think you are right about needing to go up to keep players. I had not considered it like that. If Keane comes in and his presence is enough to build momentum then all well and good. Like I have said I hope I am wrong, really do. I still believe we have a good chance of promotion and they are rolling the dice for sure.
No mate I do respect the fact you don't want him and you do have the right. I'm just saying we don't know all the circumstances for walking out so I won't criticise him for that. Even if I did know all the circumstances I don't think I'd be right too. Mind I would if he was going to the mags etc Didn't realise we'd argued on here, just thought we disagreed on a couple of things I'll have a beer with you or anyone else on here if I'm up, even @Gordon Armstrong
Let's face it mate, Agbonlahor was a surly cock, who would throw his dollies out if he didn't get his own way. Not Keane's type of man.
If your a manager on our interview list and talk to the club but you do your homework and check a few fans sites I think that unless your Roy Keane your already on a sticky wicket if you get the job....just saying.
