Almost certainly wrong again. James Hunter is a decent enough bloke, but I get the feeling his employers aren't happy with this news about Keane, and the Chronicle will be making him put a more negative slant on his post/reporting.

Keane and Defoe Few more miles on the clock, more knowledge. I think he would be a great fit. he said himself he didn't let himself enjoy it last time, second chances all around I think.
well i have kept out of the new man chat as i really have no idea, pretty sure someone already said whatever we do is a gamble...we have had some big name managers in recent years that have not lived up to our expectations so all we can gather from that is there certainly are no guarantees in football. i was not too eager when i heard keano being linked if honest, my thoughts were that he would not like the system that is installed at the club now but as that link is getting stronger i have to presume that everything has been discussed and he will be happy, which tells me he simply wants to deal with the squad and i feel he is exactly the type of former player that the lads will take notice of, he may like a bit of a rant and tends to tell it like it is but i cannot recall anything about his life outside of football being plastered all over the tabloids, he was, apparently, another model professional much like defoe and took his roles seriously and that is the sort of person any player can look up to and take notice of...they will also be aware of his reputation which will hopefully have them on their best behaviour from the off.

Well I'm buzzing about it. I didn't expect to be when I woke up this morning but the idea of Keane coming back has given me a jolt of enthusiasm and confidence I didn't see coming. If he joins and with Defoe already on board it's going to feel like we won the last game 6-0.

Nah, gotta say I agree. He's not a done a decent job anywhere really, apart from one good season with us 15 years ago... Seems a bit of a "dinosaur" in the game and I just can't see modern footballers buying into his old-fashioned values. I can see this going one of two ways: either the players accept his old-school ways and and we'll go great guns til the end of the season, possibly get an automatic spot... or the players hate him, he calls them all worse than ****e, and it's an absolute train wreck. We could easily end up outside the playoff places. Hugely risky appointment in my opinion, I hope KLD knows what he's doing...
