Don’t know how to feel, could be genius move, could be sentimental bollocks …..just gonna embrace the sheer madness of it all
Don't think Keane is the sort to think things over, he'll have either accepted or rejected it there and then.
Being deadly serious, and I know I'm probably in a minority of one, I do genuinely feel disappointed by this. I hope you're right.
I believe final talks tomorrow to conclude the deal. Also, a decision is expected from Keane. If all goes OK he will be announced on Friday. Keane has an idea of back room staff. All very positive waiting on a final answer. 18month contract as well. Fingers crossed he agrees.
How big could this week be for our club?! If this happens then it would be an unbelievable turn around to where we were on Saturday evening. Please please please let this happen. Defoe followed by Keane returning back to us... We deserve this!
Can you ask them to announce it early tomorrow? It's my last day at work for a week Friday and I got loads to get finished
I'm not on twitter, but it would be great if someone tweeted Mr Downie and reminded him that he need not comment on Roy Keanes potential return if and when it happens as we're no longer news worthy.
I'm not disappointed if its Keane its Keane and I'm 100% behind him and can still get excited biggest name we have had since Roy Keane . But I totally get where you are coming from he is at first glance going against the "new model" we have in place. But maybe Keane is happy to work within it and fits into it quite well, maybe he has had a chat and decided that is the type of structure that allows him to be succesful? Let's just enjoy the ride.
My m8 shaved his head and was an extra for the film, sure he was still working at the pit at the time, sure the scene got cut from the film tho
Whether this is the best appointment or not, the next few months are gonna be huge and hopefully the fans are true to their word and return in larger numbers. Bigger crowds, big name, big personality and much loved manager and striker are a perfect mix for the coming months
good post mate my view is if it is Keane this is them believing if we can get some momentum we can ride that wave to promotion and meet our short term goal. It might slightly compromise our original long term plans but without the short term aim of promotion being achieved we may never make real progress to the Long term goals. or maybe I’m just talking bollocks
