Yeah I think that’s what made it even worse for Tanner, an unknown non-league player linked with us and he’s been found out to be an online troll of our best player as well as a gooner… move was destined to fail. Talk of Ousmane Dembele coming to us in a kind of loan swap deal with Aubameyang going the other way.

He’s not the clinical striker we needed this window, but if he can stay injury free then he’s certainly a handy forward to have. If he comes in, I’d like to see Martinelli playing CF or possibly an interchangeable front 3 like Man City with Dembele, Martinelli and Saka

If we get anything over £20m-£25m though I’ll be happy, I’d take less though tbh. Guy needs a move, been awful for years but there is possibly a player still in there if he gets his head down.

 

Said earlier when he was being touted about he's worth a 20m bid from someone, like you say there used to be a player there, new scenery could be just what he needs, still young enough to come back.

 

I’d even take £10m to be honest. Crazy in a way because in 2017 we probably could’ve put him up for sale at about £80m… but he’s been so, so bad for years now his value has plummeted.

We only paid £5m for him so he’s been a great signing overall for that sort of price. Gave us some class memories but time to move on.
