How'd you manage that ya bassa?

I DID consider telling the bouncers I had a table booked but thought marching to the front of the queue may have angered the thousands of Sunderland fans trying to get in

Agreed. Couldn't be having that aging rocker on the touchline with his leather jacket, greasy hair and shirt open to the navel. Johnson was bad enough with his flat cap

    I’m
Not sure. If we picked Evans and Winchester or this two and Neil or kept two full backs tighter to the centre backs we’d be ok. It was his gung ho system as much as anything. Of course with Evans injuries we can’t always do that which is an issue but add in O9 to a tighter system and we’d still not concede so many. We wanted attacking football after Parkinson but this was yin and yang.

  8. I bet the Maguire thing a couple of weeks ago didn't help either.
Another thing, apologies if it's elsewhere...I haven't seen it....but why on earth did we start with a flat 4 on Saturday....pre-match fall-out with Flanagan?
Just random thoughts whizzing around my head.

Theoretically it's not an issue if you can outscore the opposition but the goals have dried up of late and that makes the glaring holes in our defence even more obvious. I believe we have the right players, we just need to set up correctly to stop giving away so many soft goals. Not one of their goals on Sat came from intelligent, attacking play. We gifted them all 6. Shameful

    Years of practice mate.

When we got to the ground with @Whittylad I was asked to help a bloke without a ticket ...

... he was in the ground less than five minutes later <laugh>

True. I'm not entirely sure O'Nien is suited to sitting as a 4 though. I get the impression that the attacking football is part of the identity that the club wants so I'd imagine that a new coach will want to play in a similar way and, if he does, we'll still need that DM I think.

Joey Barton reckoned he could get us promoted a few year back. We arguably have a better team now. Isn't it about time we bit the bullet and gave him a crack at it?
