Player power strikes again. Wouldn’t put it past the players to underperform to get shot. It’s happened at many clubs and is a modern player power tactic. LJ certainly looked like a broken man after the game and a few lads said that all the players got on the bus and it left without LJ. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Defoe come in now then.
If they have underperformed on purpose they all need sacking. 6-0 Is not something that any player should want to be part of.
I suspect Flanagan isn’t a fan. There were issues post Portsmouth and he was dropped yesterday. Although he’s had a few bad games he’s done well overall this season Flanagan.
Bet he’s kicking himself. Could still apply, of course, but that would put a question mark against his loyalty.
Which would mean we have another hopeless ownership / mgt group that give players the power to oust their boss. We will never learn. We will be lucky to get anyone to take over if your info is to be believed. For me the players can do one, they need to understand they are paid a wage to graft and do what they are told, not twist on like bairns if they dont like something. I wouldnt pay the twats in washers.
Morning Gents, big day today! Know I’ll get absolutely zero work done and be glued to here, Twitter/SSN all day, here’s hoping it’s worth it!
Absolutely chocka at work today so won’t be able to check for transfer/manager updates. I can feel a few extra toilet breaks coming up.
Head coach as I expect it will probably be a young promising assistant manager / coach from Premier League or equivalent. Big Dunc fits the profile.
im not sure there’s truth in it, but I think it fits exactly. Young coach with good reputation who can come in and fire people up in a positive way rather than the way LJ seemed to. Hard to know what style of football he plays but you’d like to think that kinda thought process is happening with Speakman etc before they approach anyone.
Drunken Duncan has done well at Everton when he's been asked to step up I believe and he certainly appears to be able to motivate the players and just as importantly he gets the crowds onside. I for one think he could be a decent shout, wouldn't be against it anyway. Also seen Neill Lennon mentioned. God forbid, he's a horrendous person.
Ferguson would be a decent appointment imo. The players would have respect immediately for him or else he'd knack them.
