The question for KLD and his people around him as well though is they need to consider their own relationship with the fans. We've already seen fans that still think he's just another extension of Madrox, when he clearly isn't. The longer he sticks with LJ and we don't go up, fans won't be just angry at LJ, they'll be angry at him. There are starting to be more and more reasons to make a considered change. Speakman being in place is just one of them
If we do not get promoted this season the team will be torn apart in the summer (no way do the two German lads sign permanent, Ross, Neil and Pritchard will push for moves) and all chance of being promoted will be gone for a few year.
I now paitently await a nuclear holocaust, by Russia to numb the pain of what we've just watched. Get rid of LJ.
Think you might be going a bit ott there mate. We seem to be progressing as a club but are not showing it enough times where it matters on the pitch.
Used to come on here praying for a tasty @Prehab26 transfer update, now I'm here praying for a tasty @Prehab26 club statement
not sure about the terms of the loans but pretty sure both the german lads can become permanent if we get promoted otherwise they return, neil does not want to leave but at the end of the day he is a young lad that at some point is going to have to consider his future, ross stewart is already attracting interest so not getting promoted i can see any decent offer considered and pritchard after a slow start is showing he is at least worthy of a championship club...there is quite a bit resting on promotion this season even though it has been played down by the owner, recruitment team have done well but there is no guarantee they will get the same calibre players again.
Should have gone then, and this performance on what looked a perfect pitch, after stating earlier in the week our pitch wasn't good enough for his style of play. No excuse for that performance
As was the concern following the last stream of bad results, we might come back from this and play well for a few games, but ultimately the next streak is only around the corner.
I can tell you that if we do not get promoted our attendances will half, everybody is fed up of league 1 now
i honestly have no idea what i want to happen now, bolton commentary were all but praying for a 1-1 draw before kick off with most expecting a defeat, i never wanted to subscribe to the 'streaky' side of things and even at the start of the season i can remember saying we should not get carried away and remember there are a few young lads in the squad and that they will make mistakes along the way but this is the entire team all having off days all at the same time and i am really struggling to see how that can happen, one week passing around teams with ease and pressing them into mistakes then the next game we cannot even pass to a team mate unless we go backwards or sideways. i don't know how a manager can be held accountable for an entire squad not turning up but then again, the manager is there to notice something is wrong and change things on the pitch and he has just stood and watched a dire performance where after the first 20 minutes it was obvious a change was needed yet he waited till into the 2nd half to do something and part of that 'doing something' seemed to be dropping gooch (who was not having a good game anyway) into possibly his worst position of all.
Those players won't be wanting to stay another season in this league, Neil at a push. Once players know there is interest in them and want to go it is very hard for a club to keep them. Imo we will have to build again if we don't go up this season as at least 4 of current first team will be off.
Problem with not sacking him now is that IF we go up in the playoffs, a significant percentage of the fans will still want him gone, which is a terrible situation to be in.
I think he’s shot himself in the head with that result today, can they risk him trying to win the fans back?
