Surely the public have had enough of this man who makes laws for them, but just ignores his laws when it suits him. https://www.itv.com/news/2022-01-24...day-bash-during-lockdown-itv-news-understands
Three things have clearly brought this about. Firstly the highest rate of infections is amongst teenagers. The universities and colleges have returned after the holidays. Secondly there has been a huge surge in testing with queues outside the pharmacies. Thirdly the new varient B2 seems to be accounting for a lot of reinfections. The health ministry expects this number to decrease shortly, and we certainly hope it does
No wonder people wonder what on earth goes on in Westminster. This is Jonathon Gulliss MP for Stoke on Trent North, who before becoming an MP was a school teacher.
After an 18 month absence, a welcome return for #theweekintory thread on Twitter - a wickedly amusing take on what the Tory government has been up to. As a bonus, this is the third one this week - but then the Tories have been busy...
Johnson the security risk - thanks to his wife... https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1487487447823003652.html
We should not forget that when Theresa May was PM and Johnson was Foreign Secretary, she is reported to have denied him security clearance to see many of the most secretive papers that were issued. In the more recent reports, Biden has said that the UK is a security risk due to the amount of dirty Russian money being laundered in the country. While Johnson remains good friends with people like Alexander Lebedev, a known KGB agent, he will remain a threat to the UKs security.
Although I must admit the emojis are my insertion, one phrase struck me as particularly pertinent in the BBC News webpage re Johnson (equally relevant is its American slang definition) as to whether Tory MPs would submit letters to the 1922: “...The assessment was that there would be more chance of unseating Mr Johnson at that stage, with bad election results or bad behaviour providing ammunition. Because while it takes 54 MPs to trigger a confidence vote, 180 would then be required to ensure his removal. With some of the rebels motivated not by ideology but by a desire to protect the party's - or their personal - reputation, the prime minister's position remains delicate.” That’s the problem, isn’t it?
Apparently Jeff Bozos has had a 500 million dollar super yacht built in Alblasserdam (NL), once built it will have to sail out via Rotterdam. In order to do this the City of Rotterdam will 'have' to dismantle a landmark bridge built in 1927. The city have said they will dismantle it and then rebuild it afterwards. The Dutch government should just have said sink your ....ing yacht, but didn't have the balls to do it. The sooner we seize the wealth from parasitic scum such as this the better - absolutely disgusted by the way our World is going and that the Dutch haven't created a storm about this. Hopefully the good people of Rotterdam will create a stink about this.
