I see the Canadians are rising up against soyboy commie Trudeaus tyranny, 50 thousand truckers on their way to Ottawa in a convoy cheered on by thousands in the streets
    Well done people.
I wonder why there is no msm coverage of any of these freedom protests all around Europe, America, Canada, the world, 200 thousand people, many of them NHS and care workers march through London to the party hub of Britain, 10 Downing Street and not a murmur from the media, anyone got any thoughts why?

Mr lineker has come out and defended the BBC saying "it is revered and envied throughout the world" this is in response to the corporation's licence fee being frozen recently....well Gaz I presume that you are thinking your fat salary could be in jeopardy if they are going to be looking at cuts to the wage bill, maybe Mr Jenas can takeover he seems to be popping up more often.... maybe walker's crisps will save your bacon

I wonder why no heads within no.10 have rolled for organising the 16 parties. I agree that Boris is responsible because he is PM but the Civil Servants never seem to be liable even though it's usually them that fk up.
There haven't even been any names mentioned except Mrs Boris. If there were 16 parties then who were the 16 organisers?

I guess it comes down to who you see as being in charge, the boss, the employer, the PM and ultimately the person accountable for the actions of people who report to him. I'm thinking there will be some civil servants moved off here and there but who was in responsible, wasn't it the PM.

But do you not think that after let's say, the first half dozen parties/gatherings/work meetings (with booze), that something would have been done to stop it ? Like maybe BJ would have thought "hang on a minute, perhaps this shouldn't be going on" ? The fact he let it carry on even after being warned speaks volumes. I'm sure BJ would like to see heads roll because he is simply incapable of taking any responsibility for anything himself. But of course, even he can't do anything while he keeps telling everyone else to "wait for the Sue Gray report", or as it is now "wait until the police have concluded their investigation". The question is, will he be PM long enough to continue to blame everyone but himself ?

They need to be accountable (I think some names have been mentioned, no idea who because they mean nothing to me).

however, Johnson lied repeatedly to parliament, they didn’t. That’s the bigger concern.

A lot of those organising and attending those parties won't be career civil servants as we'd think of them. There'll be a lot of SPADs - who are placed above the senior civil servants in departments but have vague roles and responsibilities and are only accountable to the PM or a Minister. There'll be a load of people brought directly in by the PM and his associates as other more generic advisors eg Cummings. They'll be in roles and grades and with salaries that the wider civil service wouldn't recognise. UK government, since Blairs days, is much more like the US form, with the scope of political appointments, advisors and others brought onto the payroll getting wider and wider.

That's the key point. If the people working for and around BJ thought they'd be in trouble they wouldn't have organised parties or 'ambushed him with a cake'. They realised he was either breaking the rules himself or that they knew he didn't believe in them so they could break them with impunity. Sue Gray's comment about 'complete failure of leadership'. Didn't happen where I am because it would have been interview without coffee time.
Interesting feature in one Sunday paper pointing the finger at his wife.
