4th February. Anyone looking forward to this? Like to watch the sled events, jumps and a bit skiing mesel.
Definitely! I love the Winter Olympics. I like most of the events but I'm a bit of an ice hockey fan. The only disappointing thing is that players from the NHL won't be taking part.
Love the biathlon (ski - shooting). Ski like the clappers without being so knackered to shooting a small target in a standing and a prone position. The ski-jumpers all should be sectioned. l’ve been up to the top of the incline at Holmenkollen, Oslo. It is, l think, terrifying.
When you see them on the tv it looks bad enough , even though all the snow takes away some perspective. I went to top of one in Austria once in the summer . Realised just how the ramp is basically up on a steep slope , and on takeoff they go up as the ground is continuing to go down . Respect - Eddie the Eagle !
The best winter sporting events for me are the snowboarding slopestyle and the snowboarding races which are about as exciting as it gets. You never know what's going to happen in them but it's rarely a clean race. Carnage a lot of the time but when they do get going it's a fun and unpredictable watch.
that sport where the use the brush and sweep the disk thing on the ice, cannot think what the call it i am on special brew like at the minute. tobogganning is good, and the eddie the eagle ski jump.
The ski jumping was invented by a Norwegian, nobody else would be daft enough to tie a couple of planks of wood to their feet and throw themselves off a mountain!
