"A bit of time to get him up to fitness" - . Taking unfit players and getting them fit hasn't always worked out for us.
WE've been quite weak in this position. DJ seems to have gone into his shell, and Leko is disappointing. Matthews might be OK, but hasn't really been tried. Don't know anything about this player, but as a loanee he'll only be a stopgap until a major shake-up in the summer.
Does that mean match-fitness, as in match sharpness? I hope that's all it means. You'd hope this youngster has been training regularly at the very least.
i wondered about that too it might take him ages to get the hang of our high tempo attacking football
And again……..working hard on getting my fitness back after a long time out with an ACL injury……..I know, let’s go to Charlton on loan……… https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/char...third-signing-of-the-january-transfer-window/
I like the 'listen to any offers' bit regarding Souare. Sounds like we would happily let him go for a pack of 10 Marlboro. Seriously, it didn't work out for him, so I wish him all the best.
BOO hiss, KIlmarnock's rivals. On Saturday TWWW laid on the winning goal in extra time for Dylan Levitt to score for Dundee United to knock Killie out of the Cup.
Surely Dempsey isn't gonna make it for Charlton. He's older than Morgan and doesn't feature at all, best to release him on a free with a sell on similar to Lapslie
Josh Davison out on loan to Swindon Town. Probably for the best - he needs a run of games snd a few goals. I believe his contract runs out in june so this may mean goodbye.
We're running out of transfer days now. Is anybody else coming in? I though we were after another forward man, but maybe now Chuks is back that issue is considered solved? I must admit, we don't seem to have done much in this window, The question for me now is will JJ do enough to trigger his contract auto renewal by the end of the season? I assume that means a top half finish - minimum 12th place. On the pitch this really has been a season to forget, despite many fans being brought back by free ticket promotions.
We don't know the prognosis on Stockley, a lot depends on that, especially with Davison gone and we now only have 3 forwards. If we can't get a couple of decent wing-backs in we're in trouble if we Jacko stays 3-5-2. WE seem to trying to get Marcus Browne in on a permanent contract, another risky signing considering his injury record. The optimism of Saturday's win has gone after Tuesday's abysmal performance. I don't care what competition it was, we're a poor away team in the league too..
