Yes I remember these bug options for mensah, Borini, Ki, mvila etc.
Remind how many of those did we pull off?

Remind me how long ago that was and who was the owner at the time?

if you honestly believe we are the same behind the scenes then as we are now then you really are ****ing stupid. Not comparable in the slightest.

Pretty sure the options to buy with the 2 germans only come into effect if we achieve promotion.

I remember the same comments last time when I pointed out the foundations were built on sand regarding players I mentioned. Similar kind of response you just gave me.

Tell me what has the new owner done (actions not words) to make you think everything in the garden is now rosy?

So are you saying that the club is the same now as it was back then?
To be fair to you the Mvila one hurt, as to the others not so much, unfortunately Mensah couldn't stay fit, Borini's mind was elsewhere and Ki meh.
I am more confident in our recruitment now than I have been for many years, that's not to say that we will sign every player we loan.

I wouldn't say that everything in the garden is rosy but progress has definitely been made. That's not to say that more couldn't be done but Rome wasn't built in a day and I am quite happy to allow the current majority owner more time to implement further improvements

Where has progress been made? Serious question. You may know more than I do and happy to be put in my place but personally I don’t see anything to get overly excited about to be honest.

Then don't get excited, be as miserable as you want.

I'm excited, too excited to waste my time explaining to the determined to be doom brigade, so crack on, frowny chops!

Excited by what though? I want to be enthused I really do but all I can see is a side with (if Roberts becomes a regular) 4 regular starters who could all need replacing next season, thats over a 1/3 of a team!

    I don't care, sorry.
I've learnt over the decades, get excited when you can.
    So I am.

Well I'm certainly happier with the standard of recruitment under this administration than that of the previous.
Foundations are being laid to encourage young talent to join our club and express their talent. Of course it may not be successful in every case but at least we can see attempts are being made.

Cirkin looks canny as does Pritchard. Who else of our permanent deals are you happy with?

Ross Stewart and Huggins. And Patrick Roberts in principle.

Stewart certainly, very good. Huggins has barely kicked a ball in anger.
Roberts is here 6 months. No guarantee he’ll be here next season.

We didn't have buy options for any of the players you mention. M'Vila apparently signed a pre contract as he was out of contract on 1st Jan but both he and the club decided to cancel it

Funny isnt it, we actually signed one of those he mentioned and another, Ki, only came with the premise of getting game time then stayed at Swansea for another 4 seasons. The option not to buy Mensah was bang on due to injuries. Had we of course signed him permanently I can think of at least one poster who would complain of signing injury prone players
