Dasilva starts: The predicted Bristol City XI to face Luton on Tuesday night

Bristol City will be looking to build upon their recent victory over Cardiff City by producing an encouraging performance in their showdown with Luton Town tomorrow.

The Robins sealed all three points in-front of their supporters at Ashton Gate thanks to a brace from Chris Martin and a goal from Andreas Weimann.

Set to face a Luton outfit on Tuesday who have won three of their last five games in the Championship, City know that they will need to be at their very best if they are to secure a positive result in this fixture.

Having witnessed his side’s display against Cardiff, it will be interesting to see whether Nigel Pearson opts to make any alterations to his team on Tuesday.

Here, we have decided to take a look at how the Robins could line up against Luton…

Having deployed the 4-4-2 formation on several occasions this season, Pearson may decide to turn to this particular system for inspiration at Kenilworth Road.

Goalkeeper Max O’Leary will be looking to claim his first clean-sheet of the 2021/22 campaign in this fixture.

Callum Pring will be partnered in the heart of the defence by Tomas Kalas who has featured in 26 of the club’s 27 league fixtures.

Given that Rob Atkinson is currently suffering with an issue with his back, he is likely to miss this fixture whilst Andy King could also be forced to watch on from the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.

If this does indeed turn out to be the case, Pearson will be forced into a reshuffle which may result in Jay Dasilva and Zak Vyner being brought in to feature in the full-back positions

Currently averaging a relatively underwhelming WhoScored match rating of 6.32 in the Championship, Dasilva will need to step up the mark against Luton if he is to claim a regular spot in the club’s starting eleven during the second half of the season.

Weimann and Callum O’Dowda will be tasked with providing creativity from their wide roles whilst Alex Scott will be accompanied in central-midfield by Han-Noah Massengo.

Antoine Semenyo will feature up-front alongside Martin who will unquestionably be brimming with confidence heading into this fixture after scoring twice against Cardiff last weekend.

I guess it's still too soon for Williams to start?

The fact he didn’t replace king on Sat suggests not.

Must admit, we are looking lightweight at the back with both Vyner & Dasilva..

this is the team that came from a goal down to win 3 - 2 against Cardiff!
Bentley, Williams, Wells, Conway, Benarous were left on the bench .... with 2 injured needs to add 2 more subs ....

Can't see anything but a home win I'm afraid. But this is City so absolutely anything could happen

there does seem to be a bit of "enthusiasm" in the team at the moment .. hate to spoil it but most teams have a purple patch win 2 or 3 / run of 4 or 5 / or more no losses .. CITY IS DUE!
What impressed me about Cardiff game is that part of the "plan" from 2-3 years ago made a cameo! homegrown / brought in to improve /and experienced mentors. Icing the enforced team after 25 mins+ was all pre NP... [ OK NP had a clear out, and in his tenure so far has had to play who he has but proves the talent is here]

Looks to me that Pearson has no choice and selected a team who are the only ones warm and breathing.

The light looks better with ground level shots.

On a plate for Luton. Shambolic defending after bossing the entire first half. Typical City.

Massengo up to his usual by fouling a player after one of his dazzling runs ended up somewhere behind him.
