The 24 hour rule is nearly up .

An 18 year old Biology student shot 3 women before shooting "themselves " in Germany.

If the race sex and ethnicity hasn't been released in the first 24 hours and the story has been dropped .

    Then it's a Muslim

Yes , they are but not many people have opted out . That’s my point .

Unless you always used cash , didnt use a smart phone , didn’t go online , didn’t travel or use a passport and never went for blood tests etc then you could be anonymous.

Did any of those things , they have your data .

they just now want to use it in a more ‘productive manner ‘ rather than just control what you hear , see and consume .

Covid was used to rush through some additional elements that were all ready on the way .

Digital ID and digital currency were coming but now are closer to reality due to Covid.

You can continue as is for a while but eventually it will have no choice .

I opted out of sharing my data from my GP .

Just filled out a form and signed it .

You and Gambol may have resigned yourselves to a technocratic dystopia but if we all refused to use cards at businesses and insisted on using cash then the businesses that refuse cash will go under .

I use a code to lock phone not biometric face scanners.

Amazon have a new payment system that scans your palm and you pay by waving your hand over a scanner .

    Slavery through convenience.

There is the issue “if we all “…

we haven’t and we are all ready to far gone and you will have no options unless you go truely off grid.

they all ready have your data and they already share it (no matter if you tick the oot out box or do not consent to cookies etc ).

without covid , it was coming . With covid , it’s coming quicker .

I only use cash , only manned till points and try to shop local (where possible) .

however, I use tech, fill in forms online , have a passport , travel regularly and have been to doctors / hospitals …

Last year the NHS forcibly shared your data unless you opted out .

    https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/about-the-nhs/opt-out-of-sharing-your-health-records/

As data handlers they can be held liable if they don't comply.

You simply didn't opt out because you thought it was pointless or didn't know.

China is 10 years ahead of us and they don't have elections so it's too late .

We are not too far gone to reverse our own slavery yet.

I know a lot about data protection and GDPR (helped implement and writecompany policy on both).

if you truely believe your data is not shared/available because you ticked opt out / didn’t opt in or didn’t enter the data online then I’d say that is a highly naive belief .

you are not off grid because you said No .

So my GP just lied to my face and will share my records anyway?

I'm not talking about a ****ing HR department with bods like you handling employees personal data .

Obvious if I go to hospital in an emergency my records will be accessible to doctors for my benefit.
They won't be able to share them with third parties like Universities etc .

Companies might not share your data but they dont seem to make much effort at stopping hackers rooting around and taking it.

Remember when British Airways got rid of British staff and started using Indians and the software stopped working

Your data is on a computer network .

Its not redacted . It’s available to anyone who can access the computer network .

note I don’t handle personal data or work in HR but understand the rules of DPA / GDPR and understand enough to understand that data breaches are an insignificant consequence for large companies .

But you opted out , so go you . It means your data is wholly protected.

I assume you opted out on all day you entered or provided somewhere (not that it matters) .

Anyway , you’ll pick out one element of what I have said and make a point based on that - I’ll opt out .

Even when you opt out, and select every option of other bodies requiring explicit permission, they can still share elements of the information with certain key partners, who can then share the data they produce from it. It won't have your explicit details, but there can be situations where aspects can be deduced.

I don't know why this made me laugh so much, but it did. I like to think Peter remembered it whilst half-daydreaming and then subconsciously typed it out and posted it.

There is no point in doing anything then .

What's the point in opting out it's just another lie ?

You may as well give up your biometrics to apple to share with who they want they will eventually get it anyway.

May as well take the first 3 or 4 jabs just for a quiet life, I want to go to Majorca and watch a pop concert .

    Resistance is futile

Many institutions use outdated software and outdated firewalls etc

also , many outsource the data storage and processing to 3rd parties .

Many 3rd parties operate outside of EU. As such , it would be extremely difficult to get them to abide by GDPR etc

even worse is if they store the data in a shared cloud !
