What are spurs looking like given that we have them next ? It seems like they will have Son back for our game which is a shame as he really is their most important player in my view
tbf Tom, they did try as hard as the possibly could to find a reason to give that penalty and only had to give up when it was shown to be just outside the area. They definately werent trying to correct a clear or obvious error.
That “clear and obvious error only” seems to have gone out of the window Or rather that is indeed the sort of thing that the bigger clubs get the slide on. As in it doesn’t have to be for them but does for others (in general not all the time )
I read earlier that referees HAVE to reverse their decision when told to go to the monitor. What's the ****ing point of it then? Mike Riley is mostly to blame for this farce. I've heard a lot of rumours that he won't accept any advice from referees on how things can improve. It's his way or the door. So referees understandably keep their traps shut and take home the 80k a year. I still maintain we have some good referees. Anthony Taylor had a great Euro 2020 as a referee because UEFA have a much better environment. UEFA assess their referees with an assessor in the ground for example. In the PL it's done remotely and the report is sent via email. What ****ing use is that? Feedback on a performance in any place of work is much better when it's done face to face. Mike Riley needs to go and needs to go now. He has the management skills of a retarded slug.
I have a couple of months free, but I will need to be sacked by the end of March, so I can prepare for my trip to Spain.
Bruce, Big Sam or Rafa keeping Watford up at Newcastle's expense would be sweet, given how much they hate the first two and love the latter.
Yep heard the same today from a couple sources. That’s just ****ing nuts. What’s the point. The management of officials & Var is a total joke.
You know, watching yet another manager get sacked by Watford makes me even more grateful we have someone like Semmens running things at Saints. You would think that clubs would look at Saints and maybe think sticking with a manager might work out better in the long run.
Of all the teams in the relegation zone, I would perhaps fancy Watford's chances of staying up the least. They just seem to have no potential to win games. Not sure whether there will be any managerial sackings this season. I think that those who have retained their positions have done well
