    We didn't with Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon and Clarke. Over 140m and will be lucky to get back £40m.

    That must go down as the worst transfer window a top 4 value has ever had

    The one time I didn't lob one some change was a home game and I was parked in Pretoria rd near WHL station, came out after the game and my 1600E had been nicked with a Snap on tool Box in the boot and a load of spares for a private job I had planned the next day , police found the motor in Clapton the next day and it looked like they used my own tools to strip it <doh>

    2017/18 Chelsea signed Morata, Bakayoko, Drinkwater and Zappacosta for over £150m. They sold two of them for £40m and still have the other two so I think that is worse. They did get Rudiger for £30m in the same window but spent another £50m on Emerson, Giroud and Barkley. I make that one success, one break even and six failures.

    When you have won 2-0 you can afford to be magnanimous <laugh>
    That’s the thing we probably would still have lost but going in 1-0 up at half time would have made a big difference

    For all the Spurs triumphs my grandfather saw over
    the 60+ years of his life, he never witnessed a Spurs
    league win at Anfield as I did.

    Exactly. Spent £50mill on Ndombele, didn't work out and we spent £15mill on Hojbjerg. Chelsea bought Werner for the same, didn't work so they kept him and spent £100mill on Lukaku. Kepa didn't work out so they kept the World's most expensive keeper as back up and bought a new one. Throw enough **** against the wall.
