I wanted to get the away kit for my lad as a part of his birthday. Had to settle for the crap home kit
I don't know clothing licensing but I think what I was trying to ask is IF English (or whatever region for the license fell under) Kappa supplied our UK kit could Turkish Kappa supply our kit sold in Turkey
It’s crazy that there’s still no option to pre-order the away kit, or even details of when they’ll be available.
Kappa Turkey can only supply shops and clubs in Turkey, they won’t be allowed to do anything in the U.K.
I'm surprised he has any dosh left.... he had to pay his 3rd wife $22 million and 150k Turkish lira a month or week when they divorced...
Once again made by Kappa and featuring Cazoo as principal sponsor, the Aston Villa 2021-22 home uniform will be worn in the 21-22 Premier League season. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2021/06/aston-villa-21-22-kit.html
Didn’t realise the kit deal had come to an end, they still make a Villa fashion collection called ’Dapper Villan’ and they still do their main range launches at Villa Park. A couple of my agents also carry Luke.
Do clubs generate much from a kit deal? Would Acun now have the contacts to self produce a Hull City kit without sportswear branding? Didn't Southampton do this a few years ago? i.e. Wouldn't support a brand that Kappa competes with in Turkey, and the club would take a bigger share of the revenue, but more risk. If it's not that simple OLM should be able to explain (if you don't mind).
It’s not really my area of expertise, but as far as I’m aware, a club gets a fixed fee for a kit deal, with an additional percentage of sales after a certain amount has been reached. it suits clubs, as it removes risk and gives them a guaranteed income, along with access to a large brand’s distribution channels. Several clubs have made their own kits, but few of them lasted very long, presumably because it’s harder than they thought.
