He’s a bloke who wants it all about him, much like Di Canio.
Save all that carry on if we win league or achieve something.
Any excuse for a ‘look at me’ moment.
I really hope he proves me wrong but I just don’t see him as the answer.

A bit of a fist pump and waving to the fans? Hardly over the top. If he did nothing, he'd be called a miserable twat.

Just enjoying himself and why not it was a good 3 points. If he does have a bit of an ego and enjoys the limelight I don't think that's a bad thing for a football manager, your quiet humble types don't tend to get very far.

He's also happy to put himself forward when we lose and take pressure off the team ...

... the supporters seemed to enjoy his antics so no harm done imo.

    FOR ELLIOT EMBLETOOOON!!! <laugh>

It was a canny goal for a number of reasons. It's great how determined Dajaku is for a flair player, he's got a similar character to Gooch. Intelligence and awareness from Stewart and a composed finish.

I agree with what you are saying, when we play good football we are all happy obviously but there are two teams playing and the other team can play well also. Fortunately we made the more chances in front of goal and actually scored from one of them so we won the game. Football is a game between two teams and usually the winning team plays better than the losing team as happened today but we also defended better than them for more of the game when it mattered most.

I'll take three points every week even though some games I'm hiding behind the settee for the last few minutes.

Ha' Way the Lads, please win dirty, win well or win lucky and hold onto to leads for the rest of this season and just get ****ing promoted.

We controlled the second half massively. I watched the game with a Pompey fan and he said we were the best side they’ve played this season based on the last 60 mins of the game, in terms of limiting their chances. No time wasting, just high press and control. He’s convinced that we will go up.

weve just won a hard fought encounter I think he’s entitled to a bit of interaction with the crowd.

Christ if he turns and walks down the tunnel he’d get accused of being a miserable twat. He can’t really win can he?

i think the goal made a world of difference to the game mind, they came out of the blocks with a lot of determination and chased the ball like a bunch of terriers which kind of killed our recent style of fast starts and we struggled to get a hold on the game...although i cannot remember a clear cut chance for them or the hoff having to pull off any amazing saves, mind, him and flanagan tried hard to gift them a goal.

we started to get a grip and slowly took control but once we scored they seemed to lose that early 'zest' they started with, second half was much better from our point of view and we were the ones chasing down and more of our players came into the game, neil, embelton, gooch especially seemed sluggish at first, dajaku was putting himself about from the off and it was his good work that should have brought the first goal a little earlier but it was him that got us our goal with more excellent closing down, batth had a good solid debut without trying to 'look good' which i like, he just got on with his job and seemed to work very well with doyle, flanagan more or less redeemed himself as the match went on and cirkin (bar a couple of early mistakes) looked back to his best, with evans patrolling in front of them we rarely looked in any danger.

giving my man of the match to dajaku, worked from start to finish and caused them no end of problems with a little bit of luck he could well have gotten on the score sheet.

Sign of a good team to soak up the pressure then win it I thought, even at home.
They harried us constantly first half and we bided our time .

    Good win.

We have just beat Portsmouth at home, it’s hardly a landmark victory in our history man.
I didn’t see Denis Smith going round all 4 corners of ground milking the applause after a mid season win against Rotherham!
Look at way he went on because we pulled a goal back against Arsenal!
We are a proud club with a proud history and acts like these are embarrassing in my opinion.

Thank duck we don't all have to agree with your opinion then.
Your never happier than when finding fault with something or anything connected to this club.
Can't you just be happy we picked up another three important points<doh>

I am I just find Johnson’s shenanigans embarrassing for a club like ours.
He’s not managing Oldham or Bristol City now.

How long does it take to sort a new pitch out? There are concerts during the summer and does our season start early due to the bloody Qatar world cup. I am not sure it will be done.

Nicked this from twitter but I think the lad has it spot on.

The fact that every home game seems to be "must win or it'll turn toxic against the manager" is evidence of what a hard job managing #safc has become. It also suggests any replacement for him while in League 1 would come from a very narrow field of managers capable and willing.

It takes about 5 weeks to lay the hybrid one LJ wants to have so it will have to wait until the end of the season, probably after the gigs
