To be fair it wasn't just one incident. Romeu was trying to wind him up the whole game. Looks like he did a good job.
The adjective that comes to mind first tonight is brave, you don't get anything from Citeh unless you are prepared to go toe to toe with them and we battled them from minute 1 to 96. Whisper it now but Salisu is looking like VVD Mk II but the whole team can take credit today with a display full of team spirit and to be unbeaten against the best team in the league by a country mile is testament to Ralph and his team.
By the way, not sure it’s wise of Bednarek to copy Foden’s hairstyle. Frankly, I’m not sure it’s wise of anyone to do so.
Well …. I’ve had a great day. I was invited out (suitably masked and with correct social distancing) to a live football match in Manchester today by an old workmate of mine who lives just outside the city. He paid for the tickets and we had a great view, just on the halfway line and about 20m from the field of play. It was a cracking game. End to end with plenty of chances. Certainly worthy of being first on match of the day! Though I’m not sure either Stockport Town (no - not County) nor New Mills will ever be likely to be on MOTD! Stockport raced into a 2 goal lead, but were pegged back to a 1 goal lead just before halftime when my mate’s stepson powered in a header from a corner. After that it was nip and tuck - both teams hitting the woodwork and having efforts cleared off the line, but New Mills eventually got the equaliser and the resulting draw was probably a fair result. Some, ahem, “industrial challenges” and a fair amount of the Big Sam Route One type of football, but I enjoyed it - even though it was feckin cold and, though offered bovril at halftime, I declined on the basis that I couldn’t taste it. Then back to Mike’s to watch the saints game ….. I didn’t mention that he’s a mad keen Citeh supporter, did I? Well chuffed with the performance and result!! Let’s say he was gracious in (near) defeat!! Onwards to the swamp that is ground of the Levy run club of divers and moaners …… Who’s doing the match thread for that? Oh ****
Also this... Manchester City's Aymeric Laporte speaking to Sky Sports: "I think we played really well and maybe deserved more, but if we don't score more than one it's very difficult. "They have good players here and the pitch is small, so it is a little bit more difficult." That's it then, our pitch is a bit small???!!! At least he credited our players though.
Just back. Another £20 wasted on bets, but I still haven't won one this season I'll keep them going, but please can we have a whip round for me at the end of the season to at least get me a new cardboard box I'll be sleeping in. Great performance - thought we rode out luck a bit, but deserved something out of it. Salisu WOW. KWP goal WOW. Ralph in.
He’s certainly a decent shot stopped but dealing with crosses, in no man’s land again for their goal which was headed fro only 6-7 m out
