They need to have a think regarding how they want to set the talking points. Just talk about the bloody game.
It's a legit question following the takeover. They're just reflecting the uncertainty - though I expect Burnsy would want to see the back of him.
It is a legit question your correct, but they fact they are ramming it constantly Into everything is embarrassing.
I still have my reservations, based on what I said last night about his ability to deal with pressure when things turn against him, but he's definitely earned the chance to continue. I hope he proves me very wrong.
honeyman makes a huge difference, like last season. he's missed 11 of 27 league games this season due mostly to his op. not exactly mccann's fault. on top of that, things generally were not working early on when honeyman did get to play. we've taken 20 points from the last 11 games honeyman has played.
I hope he stays, the players are playing for him and in truth we’re playing some decent stuff. We’re in a decent position points wise and plenty to build on. I hope he is the man to lead us through it
That's 20 points from the last 11 games. That's great form for pretty much anyone at this level. Never mind for a team with our financial power. The return of Honeyman coupled with the emergence of McLoughlin, Baxter and Longman has been immense. He's still a **** manager though according to some.
We’re 8th in the form table for the last 10 games, that’s bloody brilliant considering where we were in the opening months of the season. https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=2
"We made a couple of switches at half-time. We tried to get our centre-halves to be more aggressive against their number eights. We got our wing-backs to be a bit more on the front foot against their full-backs and I thought we got a bit more control in the game." G. McCann That must be a bit confusing when the opponents have two (or more) number eights!
I've just done the same for the same reason. It's also to late in the transfer window as by the time a new manager came in he wouldn't have time to bring his own players in
For me, its the "Emperor's New Clothes" (for those old enough to know the story). Yes, we won today, second half was better, but we could easily have been 5-0 down at half time. What would the reaction have been then? If you, personally, had invested £30m in buying the club and wanted to commit more funds to strengthen in what appears to be players from European leagues..would you trust this manager and his experience and historic championship results. Two swallows doesn't make a summer
Changed my vote as well. I regret my comments about him earlier this season as they were far too harsh. Likewise my comments about Eaves. Grant may not be the best manager in this division tactically and big Tom may not be the most technically-gifted footballer, but they both clearly have a lot of passion and determination. McCann should keep his job for as long as we grind out results and play well. If, touch wood we don’t, but if we go through another bad run of form and are dangerously close to relegation this season and a decision has to be made, then so be it. But if that does happen, I’ll thank him and wish him well.
I changed my vote after the game at Barnsley away because the team looked so together that day. I think it’s a little disturbing that the majority still want him out. I don’t think that was the opinion of those lauding him at the end of today’s fantastic win. He got his tactics and changes spot on.
