Why do people pick out decisions that went for us based on tv live slowmos, in other matches they go against us when we are not on mainstream . It doesn’t lessen the performance but some of you want it to . I don’t care that Blackburn might have had a pen or that their keeper went for a high ball at the back post he was never going to reach and Mcclaughlin was clever . We won because it’s football and on the night we were better than them - give em credit !
Why do we expect football managers to ‘walk’ more easily than you or I would if told to do something we are not happy with - he could be out of a job in football for two years that’s maybe all he knows . You or I probably have much better choices or options
I’d probably keep him for the rest of the season unless we start tanking. I’d get rid in the summer and bring a fresh face in.
It's a fair point, but all Grant had to do was defy him, pick his own team, get sacked and take his pay out. If that's what was happening, and I doubt it was then he should have had some integrity and did as I say above. He don't lose in that situation.
I did that after ten years in a job , the directors family didn’t like it and they manipulated me out within 4 months and I had to fight for some proper redundancy it amounted to about 3 months wages it cost me £1800 in legal fees to get it so a small profit but some revenge . It hurt though I’d made them a fortune !
If someone wants to make the utterly bizarre argument that McCann is a **** manager cos we scored a goal against Blackburn that involved a foul, then I can make the equally odd argument that McCann is a superb manager because Forest won an outrageously lucky penalty against us before Christmas. The illogical and irrelevant twists and turns that people on here go through to attempt to prove McCann is a poor manager are becoming increasingly ludicrous.
Only one fact is relevant, results! Based on what his results are in The Championship, Terry has to go
Yup. Then again according to some McCann is the dogs nuts one month and utterly f’kin useless the next.
Yes I remember that save. Funnily enough, the only time I've ever sat behind the goal. Like you say it seemed unstoppable. Possibly the best save that I've ever seen in a game live. Brilliant goalkeeper.
Got to be in now surely. He is seeming more relaxed in interviews too, almost certainly a monkey off his back with Ehaw gone as well.
Can’t sack him now surely? He’s earnt the right to stay until the season end (I never thought I would say that!)
Still here. Think he needed to go all season. Now it is a very finely balanced situation and if its keep Grant or appoint someone who has no experience of the EFL I would keep him until the end of the season, then get rid.
If there is a new man watching from the sidelines he's not going to fancy displacing McCann now after 2 great wins, he'd be on a hiding to nothing from both players and fans. If I was Mr New Manager I'd be suggesting to Ilicali that he should watch and wait a bit and tell McCann it's business as usual.
Is it just me, or do radio Humberside seem obsessed with grant getting the sack. It's embarrassing and disrespectful
