Meatloaf has passed away at the age of 74.

Disnt realise he was that old to be honest, made some cracking rock opera music

Great singer and was involved with some iconic songs. Decided to support Hartlepool as well when he was invited onto Soccer AM I think. He explained why he chose them previously "I thought, I don't want to go on and say I'm a Manchester United fan or a Liverpool fan – I'm gonna go down to the third level. And so I picked Hartlepool. I read about them and I found that the people of Hartlepool had hanged a monkey thinking he was a Frenchman, and I loved that story."

A great partnership with Jim Steinman - I know his music even split the rock world but he was an amazing and energetic performer and to have made such an iconic album (which even if you don't like is so recognisable) is amazing. Always though Paradise by the Dashboard Light was the best song on the album

RIP
