So far this year I've got Simple Minds in April-Utilita Arena, The Dickies in Newcastle in July, Ed Sheeran in June at Wembley. A wide range of genres there for ya.
Scott Walker Bob Dylan Johnny Cash Sparks The Damned The Fall The Smiths The Wedding Present REM Housemartins/Beautiful South/Paul Heaton Arcade Fire British Sea Power
I am fairly eclectic. Went to see the Idles at Brixton Academy this week. ****ing brilliant. Punk/rock with stones, love it. Played ‘never fight a man with a perm’ at a wee work gathering tonight for a laugh…. Oh the faces !!!!
Same as you mate, a wide range, except I can't abide the sight or sound of Ed Sheeran ... ... I also find his lyrics infantile and pointless, he's like a male Adele who I find irritating at best. My last gig was Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, just booked https://www.folkbytheoak.com/ Best act I only saw once 'just in time' was Joe Cocker before he went ... ... biggest regret was missing half a dozen easy chances to see Ian Dury, with or without the Blockheads
Seen Madness a few times live, the last before Xmas with Squeeze supporting - who were absolutely brilliant! Saw The Specials last year also at Newcastle, first time I've seen them and it brought the memories flooding back! Seen Jools Holland and his big band a few times and it's always a good night. But I mostly listen to 80s music these days, if a so called pop star from today came and smacked me over the head with a newspaper, I wouldn't have a clue who they were
Im a huge fan of the 3 greatest bands of all time. Pink Floyd The Beatles Led Zeppelin Also still listen to my 1st love, early 90s rave ... And lots more in-between.
Beethovern to Beatles, Mozart to Motorhead, just love it all. If only one genre allowed, the blues, Last seen in December Genesis at Birmingham, wife's favourite Two booking made this year, one already cancelled the other is Nine Below Zero
