I don’t think it’s any coincidence that Tom Eaves best three games have come since magennis left. maybe he’s a confidence player or didn’t like the competitive nature of another centre forward. He’s a completely different player now
Never seen him win so many headers or hold the ball up so well. He’s still needs a lot of work on holding it up. I’d show him videos of drogba, who knew when to be as strong as an ox and when to go down like a sack of ****e.

Well having read some posts we won because-
We got the rub of the green
    We were workmanlike
    Blackburn had more quality players
We have a team of average players
The crowd was noisy because of the new owner
The team were rubbish on Sunday so were bound to bounce back
I think most of these disrespect the performance and the style of play we’ve had for 18 months . We play a good passing game the players almost always work their socks off , we have a young side especially at the back . We haven’t had any full backs for about 8-10 weeks . We are playing wingers attackers as defensive players what more do some of you want or expect ?
Under Peter Taylor we went to Rochdale wonn2-0 Green and Burgess and we ran the game with three banks of players all closing the space , we had players with easy control for the first time in years and we kept possession . Last night we played triangles of possession everywhere , won most first and second balls and those quality players of Rovers never really got more than one or two sniffs . It’s what the best teams do
Off my chest now it was a pleasure to watch

I recognise that Eaves has been patchy over his two and a half seasons here but I said three games ago that I thought he was so obviously a confidence player and had suffered from this 'one poor game and you're out' philosophy which I feel he's been subjected to. Speculated then what might happen if he knew he would get 3 games in a row, and with Magennis leaving he's had that. I don't think Magennis would have had the pace to keep that ball in play for the first goal, and I don't think he would have scored with that header. Be ironic if just as we are really getting the best out of him, we sign 2 strikers and he's back on the bench.

You're right. Winning first and second balls was the single biggest difference between last night and the Stoke game.

It was. We gave it away more times than we should have though. Might have got punished more for that on another day.

Bang on the money Chazz - and that's the biggest reason why I'm in no hurry to change my new Saturday routine to get back to the KC!

The more I look at it, the better this block gets. It was a tremendous defending.

After ****ing it up in the first place
He recovers well but usually from his own mistakes

Baxter at fault in this instance for racing out of his box.

Im very much in the fence re Baxter.... I think if pushed I'd prefer Ingram, he seems to have more of a presence about him. Baxter's foot distribution is very poor and some of his decision making ....?

He ran under the ball at first
As plt always says about him he gets caught out charging into midfield

    Baxter was at fault also
Baxter’s kicking has been ****e for a few games too
