Haven't posted on here for a couple of years but felt obliged tonight. Just feel like we have our Tottenham back. The team spirit tonight was reminiscent of the best pooch years. WOW. JUST WOW. COYS
Just watched the second goal again and I love the fact Bergwijn and Kane went and grabbed the ball from schmeichel showing that a draw wasn’t good enough
Well, with 3 minutes of additional time played the dog needed a walk and I thought, oh well, that's that.... Fast forward to 10 o'clock... I just thought I'd check out the comments of a largely undeserved defeat....
Was about to post this exact point...Bergwijn also didn't look like a man on his way out...he was desperate to get the game going at 2 all and stopped Schmeichel grabbing the ball to waste time. Was fantastic scenes at the end...so pleased for the fans there (as well as us obviously)...they were magnificent all night
I never thought I'd ever get to say this, but.... Doherty made a real positive difference when he came on. Really top, marauding performance and deserves full credit for his contribution.
Wondering if the correct added time would actually have been added if we were playing certain different teams!
Should have been out of sight in first half that is the long term concern…so wasteful…not good enough really ffs. That last minute of injury time was just the ghost of Tottenham past making an appearance…a moment of glory for us to savour…about time.
To be honest it is very telling that Winks, Dier, Bergwijn and Doherty are all getting game time but Dele, Ndombele and Lo Celso aren't. I would love those players to turn a vorner for us and prove us all wrong. They have certainly undone some previous bad feelings (in football terms) from me for their performances tonight (not Dier obviously) ... they gave 100% and never gave up but also played really well ... long may it continue
