No. One at burnley sold wood. He sold himself due to a clause in his contract. He has left and got a big contract with more money. Burnley had no choice but to sell him.
Anyone else think bate is too small and nowhere near ready to play mens football. To be truthful i don't rate him.
Have to agree. I thought he did what he could for us though. He grafted hard. He was just found wanting every time against Declan Rice who is a big strong player. I've only seen bits of him for the 23's and he looks like he can play but he is physically nowhere near the level of our first team.....yet.
Is there some big conspiracy going on to send Marcos over the edge? Today on here I have learned that Kalvin is worth £ 33 million, Coops £15 million and someone wants to pay £ 15 million for Tyler. If I were having a medication review with my GP I’d be telling him something ain’t right in the pipe. WTF are you lot on and can I have some?
Go on? He was too light and small and it showed. I could see it clearly. Why bring another player in as they are not the same person. Bit of a pointless comparison i think.
Billy Bremner was small and look what he produced on the pitch. I thought Bate did well on Sunday too.
I didn’t include bate as one of my 23s who’ll make the grade last week (based solely on what they’ve shown in first team games) I based that on what looked like a lack of pace and physicality - the latter of which can obviously develop as he matures. However… There are loads of lightweight small footballers who’ve had exceptional careers. The question is whether you can do that as a CM in modern football without a physical side to your game? I think that depends on the set up of your team… but xavi and iniesta did ok! which is my roundabout way of saying although bate hasn’t stood out to me, I’m reserving judgement. He’s been better than Phillips was when he first played, and whilst neat and tidy footballers with a crisp short passing game, good vision and good ball retention don’t tend to catch the eye.. I’ve pretty much just described xavi.
these are indeed the key unknowns este: - Is this driven by 49ers or genuine first choice from footballing perspective - the red bull angle
The stuff Ive read last night and this morning has quotes from pundits on Sky ESPN etc who say he is a powerhouse, box of tricks, box to box livewire. CBS say hes a starter for the national team and a starter anywhere he plays. Sky Sports did a piece on him in the Summer and were raving about him. Cannot for a minute think Bielsa would have a player because the 49ers liked him. He looks a bit like Connor Gallagher and wears an alice band but in fact he plays a lot like Gallagher? Hope this one happens
… as I’ve said doc I have seen a bit of him and I really like the look of him. But there’s lots of good young footballers about. There’s no way bielsa would take someone he didn’t like, but there is always the possibility that 49ers suggested they’d stump up the cash for someone who helped with US exposure.. and this helped move him to the top of the target list. I don’t care to be honest if he’s good enough. saw a bit of Gallagher in him myself.. that Duracell bunny, high work rate, good feet type player they want as a klich replacement
Better mind your p's and q"s lads scum fans have been warned as to discrimitary chanting regarding a wolves players height in last week's defeat!!! What the f is going on when you go to a footy match and have to have a dictionary with you......so let's say bremner and batty and strach where all of a size in tune with their bone structure and muscle mass ......"the referees a ******"
