It's all right all these players tweeting things like gutted, crazy etc they should have thought about that on Saturday. After all they are the ones who have let him, the fans and the club down
Official club statement Leicester City Football Club has confirmed today (Monday 24 October) that, by mutual agreement, Sven-Göran Eriksson has ceased to be the First Team Manager, with immediate effect. First Team Coach Derek Fazackerley has also left the Club. The Club and its Board of Directors would like to thank Sven and Derek for the contribution they have made to Leicester City during their 13 months at King Power Stadium. Academy Director Jon Rudkin and Coach Mike Stowell will jointly assume the role of acting Manager of the first team, with assistance from Development Coach Steve Beaglehole. This will begin with training on Tuesday morning ahead of Saturday's npower Championship trip to West Ham United. The process of recruiting a new permanent Manager will begin in the coming days. There will be no further comments from the Club or any comment on the recruitment process until an appointment is made.
I doubt it as i dont think they would go as far as naming caretaker managers for the weekend. Plus we will never know who sacked Sousa as Mandaric was still here pulling the strings at the time
Leicester trying hard to persuade O'Neill to take now vacant manager's job. Big call for him That is from Ollie Holt who works for the Mirror
Hi Chris. Good point, that often comes back to haunt the club later down the line. This could well be the same. Why is it the correct decision? Well the owners are at nearly every game. The see what I've been seeing. Sven chose signings with little pace, and no width. His team is set up this way. Point 1 Sven chose to use a formation that was ostensibly negative and central. Point 2 Sven clearly struggled at times to motivate. Saturday being an example. If we'd had really tried, paticularly 1st half, the fans would sympathise more. Point 3 Sven dropped our only natural pace and width in Dyer. Dyer is not perfect, but at least he scared defenders. Point 4 Sven has had way too much money for this division and signed too many players for the club. God knows our wage bill? Point 5 The time was right. 33 games to go season. Up the Foxes.
Michael Owen just tweeted Surprised at the news regarding Sven being sacked by Leicester. Hadn't been aware of any speculation that he was under pressure.
I'm quite angry about this, I mean Sousa wasn't up to it but I cannot see us getting another as high profile as Sven. Why would MON want it? Anyway it's done now so what do we do, get another famous manager who'll be known in Asia or get someone who knows the championship? I don't bloody know except it won't matter as long as we start winning more games!
Martin O'Neill There's something in this, out of the 7 books running only one is now odds against. Even the magic sign have gone odds on and they usually know you know!
