It feels like sad Monday every day at the moment when you come on here, hopefully one day the gloom will be gone through
It would have been my Dad's 75th birthday today. Can't be too down though as it is also my wife's birthday today.
Any news? Reading some doom and gloom on Twitterati. Well it is supposed to be the arse end day of the year.
Usual doom merchants.. couple.of pages back twitter from Mike White saying everything in EFL hands, not heard of any problems .. alas if some don't get to hear the far end of a fart every day they enter panic mode !
Just looked at the Southampton sale which was mooted on December 9th and done and dusted at the start of January. On 9th December Gao Zhang said he was willing to sell to the right buyer so obviously nothing in place at that stage. They have been taken over by a consortium which must be more challenging to check and follow up, so what is our problem?
So you reckon it's quicker to transfer ownership of a multi million pound business/Football club than it takes to buy a 3 bedroom semi?
I always thought it was the first Monday after new year. Statistics (probably sourced from Solicitors) show that is the biggest day for people applying for divorce. Something to do with spending so much time over Xmas and New Year with their other half has tipped them over the edge. Its the second best day of the year for me. Yesterday was the best. Apologies for all of you having a Blue Monday.
Blue Monday is the name given to a day in January (typically the third Monday of the month) said by a UK travel company, Sky Travel, to be the most depressing day of the year (it's only existed since 2005 and it's sunny today, so they should probably have delayed it by a day or two).
