Quite a brave decision by the lad, to start so low down the football pyramid. Interesting to see how this develops and I'll be keeping an eye on his progress.

Unfortunately the Tyne/ Wear divide has already kicked in, with some Shields supporters saying they won't be going because of his connection to SAFC. How sad is that?

He might even get some cheers from home supporters when he brings his team to Morpeth's Craik Park next month! Until kick-off that is.
