They'll just blame the owners rather than blame Howe.. There's a large number of fans that spent over 2 years more concerned about winning the Bruce out argument than they were about winning matches, so they won't change now.
Fair comparisons will be impossible though given the resources. Bruce like Rafa, Pardew et al was hamstrung by Ashley.
This is why I'm comparing what Howe is doing in comparison to what bruce has with this squad. It was awful under Bruce and its still awful under Howe, so it was therefor the players that were the problem. The fans claimed this squad would do better if bruce was replaced.. They were wrong unfortunately..
To be fair Howe actually has got more points from arguably harder games overall and a demoralised struggling squad so they weren’t actually wrong albeit he hasn’t got enough points.
Cantwell is atrocious and has a really bad work ethic IMHO. he’d therefore fit in really well with our current bunch of twats.
Whereas Howe's got 9 from 12 so there's a marginal difference that being one win. This of course could swing, but I'll refer to my point which is that I'll credit when it's due and criticise when it's not.. Bruce wasn't afforded that from most nufc fans. That's the issue here. Being fair that's all I've done.
One win is three points not six so whilst not enough Howe actually has done better which was the point being debated.
Hmmm don't get me wrong here but I definitely am not, but what I saw was fans giving him stick and him having the audacity to give it back. Unprofessional of him, but also something I respect in a way. I'm pleased he's gone it was time and I'm happy that I gave him the credit he deserved in the good periods.
