Has it really escaped your attention that you are in fact, the thickest spanner on the interweb? Surely your catastrophic imbecility must get brought home to you every day, in various ways? At the very least, you must spend half the day walking into lampposts, and raging at your own reflection in shop windows? If you were a dog, a you’d be knocking yourself out every 5mins, chasing parked cars.

Ended it with the now ex. Mortgage and a dog to work out. It’s a nightmare but at the same time I’m having a very fun few weeks and most importantly Rangers are winning home and away.

Queens Park Rangers, not Glasgow. No idea how they’re doing.

    **** the Pope.

BBC licence fee to be abolished in 2027 and funding frozen.

The culture secretary, Nadine Dorries, is expected to confirm that the cost of an annual licence, required to watch live television and access iPlayer services, will remain at £159 until 2024 before rising slightly for the following three years.

She said this would be the end of the current licence fee funding model for the BBC.

Genuinely it feels like a weight has been lifted.

About two stone more weight than when I met her.

The dog we’re being civil about so far and working his schedule around ours. I want him full-time but we’ll see. Both of us had divorced parents and while he’s not an actual child it’s that kind of vibe.

Benoit Paire rages after testing positive for COVID-19 ahead of Australian Open.

“Hello, my name is Benoit Paire and for the 250th time I am positive for COVID,” the Frenchman announced from an undisclosed location on Wednesday.

“Honestly I can’t deal with this COVID s*** any more.”

Paire, who is vaccinated and reiterated he is “100 per cent” in favour of vaccines, said he has a runny nose.

Sage scenarios vs actual: an update

Modelling matters. It has consequences. If the Sage summer reopening scenarios had been believed (as they were by Keir Starmer) lockdown could have been extended – with all the social and economic damage that would entail. If the Sage autumn scenarios had been believed, schools might have remained shut. If just one December cabinet meeting had gone differently there would have been sweeping restrictions that the real world data now tells us would have been completely unnecessary.
