    SOUTHEAST ROSE 12/1 Kelso 1:35
Races here today off a mark of 77 and won this in 20 off a mark of 88. Mark has reduced from a less than successful stint over bigger obstacles and the return to hurdles could be just the ticket.

A couple of races at Punchestown today could have a bearing on Cheltenham markets.

12.15 Moscow Flyer Novices Hurdle (Grade 2) - Vautour and Douvan both took this race en route to victory in the Supreme Novices Hurdle and it has also been won by Min and Getabird - both sent off favs for the Supreme. Fair to say then, that Mullins targets the race with horses he expects to be competitive in the Supreme (although Sir Gerhard ran over Christmas rather than here). Odds-on fav today is Dysart Dynamo, who has 3 bloodless victories to his name (2 bumpers and a maiden hurdle) and is currently 14/1 for the Supreme. Mullins other runner, Hawaii Game, is equally unexposed having won a bumper in France and a maiden hurdle Naas over 2m 2f (2nd subsequently won over 2m 4f). He is 2nd fav today and 25/1 for the Supreme and he may be destined for the Ballymore having already gone beyond 2 miles. That also applies to Elliott's Gringo D'Aubrelle (last seen when 3rd in the Challow) but Guily Billy could be a threat to the Mullins pair having stepped up markedly on his debut 2nd to run away with a Tramore maiden last time. A clear-cut victory today would put one of these towards the head of the supreme market and the betting suggests in will most likely be Dysart Dynamo.

14.20 Kildare Novices Chase (Grade 3) - Envoi Allen took this last year at prohibitive odds and it looks like being a similar story this time around with Bob Olinger hot favourite to build on his highly impressive chase debut at Gowran Park (form subsequently boosted by many of those in behind). Whilst this is no penalty kick against the Mullins pair, he ought to win this en route to the Golden Miler Chase at the festival, a race for which he is already best-priced 6/4 fav.

    Should be an informative day.

Dysart Dynamo sluices up and is cut to around 5/1 - 6/1 for the Supreme. He is even shorter for the Ballymore at around 3/1 but I'd certainly want the NRNB option on that particular bet. I'd say Dysart Dynamo looks more of a speed horse than Sir Gerhard at the moment so the more likely scenario might actually be Dysart Dynamo to the Supreme and Sir Gerhard to the Ballymore. Sir Gerhard shortening up markedly for the Ballymore now - as low as 4/1 in paces and drifting in the Supreme market.

Hopeful Lastofthecosmics will run a decent race in the last at Kelso (15:40). Will also indulge in a rev.forecast Prince Dundee with Lastofthecosmics. :bandit:

2nd, with Prince Dundee brought down when going pretty well. Hope horses and riders are OK after that nasty-looking crash.

Going to take a slice of luck or bit of misfortune for anything to beat that Constitution Hill in the supreme I think. He looks very good, has lots of speed and hurdles well. Hopefully he stays sound a long while as he could be a great horse to follow for years to come.
